Nintendo profits compared to Xbox profits last year

To make it simple, in percentage form, the Nintendo Gamecube was infinitely more profitable than the Xbox last year, because Microsoft, again, lost their ass on the Xbox (as it has every year since it was introduced) because they amazingly continue to sell the systems at a lower price than they pay to make them (doh) and they don't make any games for the system themselves, they're all licensed.  why the biggest computer software company in the world hasn't decided to make video game software kind of makes me scratch my head, since they lost their ass on the Xbox and made less than they spent; and Nintendo made nearly 900 million dollars last year; one can conclude that Nintendo is infinitely more profitable than the Xbox.  that's why I always pick on Sony; at least Sony makes a measley profit off of their systems; Microsoft is still hundreds of MILLIONS of dollars behind on the Xbox and their xbox profit margins aren't even worth mentioning next to Nintendo's.

Ever heard of Microsoft Game Studios? They have half a dozen internal development studios plus they own Rare & Lionhead.

Thanks for showing me that, i've played half of those games and never even knew Microsoft made them!  Still wondering though why they can't turn a profit.

well xbox was microsofts first console in the game, they made some mistakes and stuff and hopefully they learned from them,they also got solid first party games coming out, but yea the xbox didnt make money for them,i think the 360 will be much more successful as microsoft has become more experienced thanks to the xbox.
