Who's Seen "Waist Deep"? (West Coast Related)
« on: June 24, 2006, 10:18:21 PM »
I just got back from the theater, this shit was fuckin tight, best hood movie since "Baby Boy."  Anyway, there were a lot of tight West Coast tracks in the movie.  I recognized Crooked I's "My Life," Ice Cube "Child Support," Nate Dogg "Dolla Dolla Bill," and there was this one tight track playing while they were driving down Sunset Blvd and I think Kam was on it.  Does anyone know that track?

That Kam track would be "I'm Bout A Dolla" (G. Malone feat. Kam & Kanary Diamonds) since it's also on the soundtrack.
Someone from Crooked I's forum told me they played "Creased Khaki Flow" for just a few seconds in the scene where Tyrese gets jacked...

Here is a list of songs played (some are not on the soundtrack):

The soundtrack and/or the movie itself feature a wide range of West Coast songs, such as Crooked I's "Krease Khaki Flow" and "This Is My Life Man" (both Prod. by Jim Gettum); "Guttaville" and "Shit On Me" performed by Def Jam signee and Watts sensation Dro; "I'm Bout A Dolla" performed by Kanary Diamonds featuring Kam and G. Malone (Prod. by Dilemma), "Turn They Lights Out" performed by Chico & Coolwadda; "Ayy" performed by Denaun Porter & Tyrese, "Dolla Dolla Bill" performed by Nate Dogg (Prod. by Josef Leimberg), and many more.

I don't see how you would think Baby Boy was wack, but this movie is nothing like it, so might still enjoy it.  Thanks for the help guys.

It's most probably a cam version anyway, it sucks to watch a movie like that...

Didn't like Baby Boy either but this seems to be a total different type of movie, looking forward to it... 8)

Being a LAKER is a privilige. Unfortunately some "Lakers" have forgotten that.
