DPG Recordz or Doggystyle Records
« on: June 26, 2006, 02:04:27 PM »
I personally like DPG Recordz more because Daz allows the artists more creative freedom. Soopafly has been on Doggystyle since it was created and he has never had a album released. He will have 2 on DPG. Everybody talking about how bad Dillinger & Young Gotti 2 was and it ended up being better than CIA because Daz sticks to the formula. Nothing against Snoop, but he has to get back to that Dogghouse sound to be a more effective label. I would like to see alot more of the DPGC affiliates sign with Daz.

I like em both the same and get pretty excited when either one of em drops an album.  Anyone who's participated in any of these CIA \ Doggystyle threads knows they get just as excited so don't front.  Go buy the album.... enjoy it and stop complaining.  At least stuff gets released (unlike other labels.)  Ya'll forever trying to pick em apart.  But anyway, I dont think D&YGII is in anyway shape or form better then CIA but to each his own.  Ya'll too hard on CIA, I think its a solid WC album.  "Kurupt sucks, no Daz beats... no Warren beats...  Battlecat fell off... blah... blah... blah...!   :P

Oh I am not hating on CIA. I like the album and I can see how somebody would say CIA is better than D&YGII, but I said that about the album because people also made that album sound like it was a piece of shit and now looking back people like it. I personally like D&YGII because it has Daz's beats. Doggystyle/Dogghouse has had some bangin releases but Welcome 2 The chuuch was kinda weak. Eastsidaz, Doggy's Angels, all that shit wuz tight, but I agree I am glad to see Snoop releasing some projects.

completely agree, im glad there are people with some sense on this forum who state why or why not somethings good or bad insatead of just sayin "wack" or "bangin".imo d&g2 was actually a really nice album. the production is second to none of the albums tht came out last year. i like cali iz active but if the soopafly beats were kept even some of the other ones and let daz handle the rest of the production or let him oversee it i think the end product may have come out a little better, but we shouldnt look back and complain about what could hav been we sould jus enjoy the music. ill say it again iv never heard a badly produced daz beat.

I agree and the sound of a Dogg Pound album is completely different without Daz. Soopafly can capture it, but not Jazze Pha or other producers. I would have even liked a fred wreck beat or 2. DPGRecordz keeps it DPG and that is why I like their sound. CIA is a cool album and I hope Snoop does keep his word and allows Daz to do the production on the next one

seriously, I'm baffled at the hate of CIA

I can understand not feeling every fuckin track and most dipshits are looking for Dogg Food 2

but there are a ton of good tracks on this, way over-exaggerated at how it's the worst shit ever

most people saying that didn't give it more than a day
