One of the greatest R&B records ever
« on: July 06, 2006, 10:03:45 PM »

By far one of the most underrated albums ever. This is timeless music, not that shit that gets played out after a few days.

Anybody else feeling this?

I might upload it later.

Shit. I can't rip it because it's one of those "enhanced" cds. If ANYBODY knows a way around this, let me know and I'll up it ASAP.

The reviews on amazon.com look promising. Maybe I'll cop it on payday. I've been buying way more r&b than hip hop lately.

Anyone listen to India Arie's last album? That album is tight, although it gets pretentious at times. The musical quality is excellent.

Trust me. If you like R&B you'll love this album. Might be hard to find in stores, but you can easily get it online.

I haven't heard India's last album, but I've heard her first one, which was excellent. I'll probably check this new one out today.

No. It came out in '97, but it still sounds good. I found a site with snippets. Sorry, it's the best I could do.

I just picked up the Adriana Evans album based on your suggestion, it does not disappoint. If you like R&B, you'll like this. I remember the second song on the album being played on the radio a short minute, I don't know why it didn't take off.

Yeah, it should've done a lot better than it did. Because of major label bullshit, she's now indie.
She's got a second album out, but I've yet to hear it.

One way I found around copy protection was a program called CloneCD which basically allowed you to copy certain regions (i.e. the audio section and the enhanced section). So you copy the audio section only and you need to burn it to another disc then rip it in the usual way.
