There are many who dislike this album, but how can u dislike so many hot tracks.
No, it ain't like Illmatic, Stillmatic, God's Son and Street's Disciple and Yes, it got some filler tracks, but it got many nice cuts. I've marked my favorite songs.

In 1998, Nas began work on a double album and this was to be entitled I Am...The Autobiography, which he intended as the middle ground between the extremes of Illmatic and It Was Written. The album was completed in early 1999, and a music video was shot for its lead single, Nas Is Like, produced by DJ Premier and featuring vocal samples from It Ain't Hard to Tell. However, much of the LP was leaked into MP3 format onto the Internet, and Nas and Stoute quickly recorded enough substitute material to constitute a single-disc release.

i like all of his albums except for Nastradamus, and his 3 weaker albums were just bashed coz people were expecting another Illmatic. but if you back and compare these albums to the other shit that dropped around that time it becomes pretty obvious that the albums didn´t deserve half of the hate they got. We Will Survive is my favorite joint on I Am.

its a shame that the album leaked, cos with some of the joints from the lost tapes disc it wudov been a sick ass double album, anotha rap album ruined after a leak.
