Rivaldo to quit at end of season Olympiakos' Brazilian World Cup winner Rivaldo plans to retire at the end of the forthcoming season in Greece. The former Barcelona midfielder won the World Cup in 2002 and was also voted European and World footballer of the year in 1999. "I have already made up my mind. This is going to be my last season as a footballer," Rivaldo, 34, told Greek newspaper Protathlitis. "I want to finish my career in an Olympiakos shirt." Rivaldo added: "I want to do something great next season and then I will go to Brazil to get some rest."
Oh...I thought this thread was about Paul Ince But yeah, Rivaldo was a fucking legend, apart from that face-clutching incident in 2002.

not a valid arguement...still, a great player

The point is, you look at the Henry - Puyol incident.Puyol fouled him, Henry wanted to make sure he didn't get away with it so he made sure he got the free-kick. Justice was done. The same applies to the Rivaldo incident. The Turk blasted the ball off Rivaldo delibarately, Rivaldo made sure the player did not get away with it. Justice was done.
The game againts Valencia itself makes him a legend.
