julio g also hosts a show on weekday afternoons...

but heres the issue i have with KDAY, when they first came back the format was PERFECT... a lot of classic hip hop with a current track thrown in the mix every once in a while...

i stopped listening a few months back since they changed to their current programming rotation... its obvious that there must have been a change in the station's management... i mean even julio g's show is playing "shoulder lean"  COME ON NOW

i realize that radio stations make money from their commercial advertisements when they have a large audience base... and also that more listeners tune in to current "Pop tart" songs... BUT PLEASE can one station just play classic hip hop material for the majority of their airtime?!?!   it seems like a lot of people are vocal about this same issue... too bad we cant mobilize and make a change

sorry for the rant... just my .02

peace

Blame Steve Harvey.  Didn't he fuck up another station and got Julio G fired?

Steve Harvey did dictate The Beat's direction while he was there, but Julio G, Sway & Tech etc. all got let go so they could begin that direction before Steve Harvey was on the team, I believe. Now, the Beat only plays R&B.
