Mourinho 'in love' with Celtic

Jose Mourinho didn’t just lift the UEFA Cup back in 2003 … he also fell in love with Celtic and its supporters.

Admittedly, his Porto side broke Celtic hearts and their unsporting behaviour didn’t endear themselves to Hoops fans but for Mourinho, now manager of Chelsea, it was an occasion when he developed an ongoing affection for the club.

And the manager of the English Premiership champions is looking forward to renewing acquaintances with Celtic when the sides meet at Stamford Bridge on August 9.

“I’ve played Champions League final, I’ve played big matches and I’ve won things with Chelsea, but it was the most exciting game of my career,” admitted Mourinho. “The game was amazing and the stadium was full of Scottish supporters.

“We scored, they scored, we scored again, they scored again. We went to extra-time and in the end, with everybody waiting for penalties, we scored the winning goal, which was an amazing goal.

“I have great memories. From that time I can say I fell a bit in love with Celtic, because the atmosphere was amazing and the crowd was magnificent, the way they behaved with the Porto fans. I look forward to meeting Celtic again.

“They are a big club and they have a good relationship with my country, because they were European champions in Portugal many years ago and they play a UEFA Cup final against another Portuguese team.”

Mourinho also confirmed that Chelsea will play all their big guns against Celtic on August 9, including summer signings Andriy Shevchenko and Michael Ballack.

How come celtic are having friendlies in japan and agaiinst chelsea even though the season will have started in scotland ?

Coz they are fucking idiots mate.

So contraversial I don't even know what to think or say about it.

They start the league on Saturday, they are going to play a game in Japan on the Thursday then they come back to play Hearts on the Sunday. Then they play another unnecessary friendly against Chelsea in London on the Wednesday then come back to play St. Mirren in Glasgow the Saturday after that.

If you or anyone else can make sense of this chaos please let me know.

lol It is strange. You have already had 7 friendlies so its not like you need anymore. Plus you risk the chance of picking up injuries in pointless friendlies.
