Last week, DMX plead guilty to 13 counts of animal cruelty, two counts of maintaining a nuisance, and one count each of disorderly conduct and possession of drug paraphernalia. The charges stem from a 1999 incident when police went to the home of the rapper after finding his wife's purse near the scene where his business manager had been shot. When police entered the home, they found 13 pit bulls, a 9mm pistol, and six used glass cocaine-smoking pipes.

While avoiding jail time, DMX agreed to tape public service announcements telling children to stay away from guns and be kind to animals but faces a 1000$ fine for each count of animal cruelty, and a term of probation. Prosecutors are to work out the details before the March 15 sentencing date.
