Fat Joe Splits Atlantic, Preps New Album

Fat Joe has parted ways with Atlantic and set an Oct. 17 release for his seventh solo album, "Me Myself & I." The set will be issued independently via his own label, Terror Squad. It features collaborations with the Game and Lil Wayne and production from Scott Storch, the Runners and DJ Khaled, among others.

The first single is the Runners-produced "Clap & Revolve." Fat Joe describes the new offering as his most personal to date. "I just started writing on my own and made the album I truly wanted to make," the Bronx rapper tells Billboard.com, adding that he opened up about his life in a way he previously hasn't.

"Me Myself & I" will be the follow-up to Fat Joe's 2005 Terror Squad/Atlantic disc "All or Nothing," which bowed at No. 6 on The Billboard 200 and has sold 293,000 copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

Fat Joe will kick off his first European tour Friday (July 28) in Portugal, with dates in Switzerland, France, Germany and Spain to follow. The tour wraps up Aug. 8 in Oslo.

He needs to make this album stand out.  He makes albums very quietly, he pushes units but theres never much of a buzz with his shit, this album needs to change that.

I just hope that this album won't have some poor pop songs, like All Or Nothing had. That album had a few good songs, but most of it was garbage. Fat Joe's at his best when doing songs like "My Life", "Safe 2 Say (The Incredible)", "Definition Of A Don", etc...

This ain't surprising to me at all.  Fat Joe's past three albums (two solo + Terror Squad) have all flopped, so it figures he lost his label deal.  Dude just needs to accept that without Pun by his side, he just doesn't have much appeal to anyone.

What he needs to do now is get DITC back together, since almost everyone from that clique that's gone solo has flopped.  It may not be the same without L, but it could still be pretty dope.

Fat Joe is the worst rapper in history beacause he doesnt even write his own shit and jumps on whats "hot".  The man thinks that just having steeet cred is enough to have him sell.  Now hes repping PR and grills in reggaeton and southern songs but he claims NY.  (and he ragged on raggaeton but did it anyway because it sold)

His only good album was Don Cartegena IMO, which may i add was written by Big Pun.

I wouldnt waste my time with him, hes fake and doent rep anything or stand for anything withought changing his mind for money
