Alright, I'm gonna take you waaaaaaay back with this one. I think every element of this song has been sampled / interpolated dozens of times over the years, and is nothing but a pure classic. You can tell how dated the video is, but the song is still amazing to me and has only gotten finer with age. Its of the era when lots of DJ's would rhyme over the beats they were dropping - getting the party hype a la an "MC". I love the breaks in the song, the guitar bridge, the legendary chorus, the dope raps, sick scratches, and genius piano loop.

Yeah my bad, I shoulda put that in the OG post. If any of yall didn't see it, its "Hey DJ" by World's Famous Supreme Team. I think I could put this bitch on repeat all day. The version that I posted is the short video version - the actual cut on the album is like 6 minutes long and it features some great scratch solos. It's also refreshing as hell to hear hip hop that is pretty free form, not just verse / chorus / verse chorus. It's layered flawlessly - I'd love to hear it remastered.
