i wish game the best...but...
lol @ game fans believin this 50 million bs and still thinkin this is a great situaion for him

here is what rebel said 6 months ago after the bishop lamont interview

Question:why didn't they ask a lil' bit more about The Game???

Rebel:I did. But for certian reasons we were not alowed to reveal it.

Question:did the label or publicity not clear that part of the interview?

REbel:

"nah... Bishop asked me not to post it. Label politics, man...you know how it is. I can say this, tho... Interscope is very pissed at The Game for continuing his beef with 50/G-Unit. The problems are between Game & Interscope. According to Bishop and others... Dre is cool with both 50 & Game at the moment."

Yea, that was likely the case. BUT, you are forgetting something. Interscope is a business, why wouldn't they want to keep a multiplatinum rapper who has a great fanbase on their label? Label politics aside, selling records is selling records. Also, Interscope is still fuckin' with Game as I believe Game's A&R is from Interscope and Geffen works side by side w/ Interscope.

However I do believe they were blackballing him for a moment...this is what DJ Skee said earlier this month:

"[calikid87> ayo skee is interscope blackballin game
[SK> na interscope supportin it now
[SK> we played album for em last week, they LOVE IT"

In the end you still have to see this as a good situation. Aftermath ain't all that its being cracked up to be. Busta did ok, he is struggling to go Gold. On the other hand, artists on Geffen seem to get solid release dates and great promotion (see Snoop Doggy Dogg and Mary J Blige).

^^^ That is a good point. I think if Game will be successfull, everyone will say it was a smart move by Game, but if he flops, every one will bring up his decisions. I think Game will do fine.

LakersAlldaWay brought up a very good point. Aftermath is a very good label and anyone would want to be on there, but the fact of the matter is that if your on Aftermath you're either gonna get dropped before your album even comes out or your album will take like three years to drop. Artist on Geffen seem to get a real relase date and don't keep getting pushed back. So at the end of the day I think this will be good for Game cus he got what he needed from both Aftermath and G-Unit and that's a fan base. So now if Dre does produce a couple tracks on TDA it's just a plus for Game. Plus now Game got his label a distribution deal.

Another thing is that you hear people clowning him for the supposed label "downgrade," but realistically them G-Unit cats (Spider Loc) are pretty much stranded. I'm sure they have close zero input on when their album comes and what shit they can put out. That also goes with Aftermath artists...I doubt that Busta really wanted to be delayed two years and then be pushed back again at a time when his buzz was high.

yeah according to a lot of people who have heard his new album, GAME'S NEW ALBUM IS A LOT BETTER THAN HIS OLD ONE..... , so i can see how interscope loved it. You guys ever doubted the man who put the west back on the map togethor with dre? One of the few artists nowadays who reps the west and everyone sees it....meaning hes also mainstream. and there will be a lot of dre overlook and production in TDA so watch out... 50 is about to be shown up by a west coast cat (as if he hasn't shown him up on mixtapes already).

^^Dr. Dre will never loose his respect. He already gets enough heat from people for not working with West Coast artists, beats sounding the same, taking too long to do shit, etc but when he has something to say or releases some shit everyone is interested (and usually finds it tight).
Like people were saying as long as Dre is still working with The Game, then it doesn't matter if he's off Aftermath. The only problem is what happens in 2 years? Dre doesn't really work with people outside of Aftermath these days, so The Game might not be insured to get more production from Dre in the future.
