In The Mid-Nite Hour
« on: August 05, 2006, 11:42:19 AM »
To be honest I got this album last xmas and I never really listened to it that much until now.  This is a good album no doubt, and I LOVE the whole concept of the album.  All the old, classic sounding tracks on the album give it a good feel, all the tracks really flow well w/ each other also.  I slept on this album for far to long  :nawty:

Really? Its all good and all opinions but I just really feel this album, no great tracks but everything is smooth imo and I love the way the album flows together.  I love the track "In The Mid Nite Hour"

I've bashed this album from the get go on this forum, but last week it was one of the only CDs in my car and I said wtf.  I listened to it, with heavily lowered expectations, and its pretty solid.  I still think its Warren's weakest CD, but I might have to go out and get a copy now.

Yeah he was solid on the album, but what impressed me lyrically was Warren for the most part, he really seemed to branch out and expand his lyrics alot more than his other 4 solo albums

it's the same shit with every cd

everyone bashes it because they think it's gonna be incredible and they leave it alone for a while thinking it sucks forever

then they pick it back up a year later and say "this isn't too bad"

that's why I'm not some idiot faggot who picks up a record and writes my review and critique one hour after I've listened to 1/2 the tracks

Yeah he seemed alot more focused on that album. I thought "Get You Down" Remix was going to blow up after the Katrina disaster.

I havent got the album yet, but I have "Weed Song", which I thought was one of the phattest beats of that year.
