Looking for that Snoop picture... (NEED HELP)
« on: August 08, 2006, 02:09:22 AM »
In my thesis on hip-hop culture, I'm currently discussing the image of certain rappers. And right now, I'm discussing Snoop's pimp-image.
Therefore, I'm looking for that picture in which Snoop is standing on the red carpet with two scantily clad women next to him...and they are tied up with chains to Snoop, as if they were slaves.

I remember seeing the picture in The Source about a year ago, but unfortunately I threw that issue away in November :-\

Can someone help me out?

Here's another version, more close up, incase you want it. (I just remembered seeing it on some site a few weeks back...)

How's the thesis coming along?

How's the thesis coming along?

Well, I've been working on it for two weeks now and my chapter on rap music is almost finished.
I've already discussed "The development of rap music" (its origins, "The Message", political rap [Public Enemy], the beginning of popular rap [Run-DMC, Beastie Boys], the beginnings of gangsta rap.) "How rap music conquered the charts", "Rap music: a springboard for other career moves (Hollywood, independent record lables, adult entertainment, clothing companies, etc...), "Gangsta rap and its authenticity", "Rap music and responsibility" and right now I'm working on a sub-chapter called "Commercialisation of the rap music youth subculture".
I'm 35 pages deep so far - plain text, no images or big titles - and my chapter on rap music isn't even done yet. I still need to discuss "Rap's crossover" (nu-metal, pop artists like J-Lo & Britney using hip-hop beats, etc...) and "Icons" (Pac, Em, etc...).
My teacher told me that a thesis should have a minimum of 40 pages, lol, and I haven't even started writing the chapters on breakdancing, turntablism, graffiti and beatboxing yet?.
So I think I'll end up with about 90 to 100 pages 8)

Thanks for the pic T-Dogg! The close-up might come in handy actually. I'm thinking of using both the pics...

Lol...who do you take me for?! You really think I'm gonna post my thesis on the Internet where people can simply copy & paste it? Roughly estimated, I will have spent more than 200 hours on writing this thesis (reading books, research on the Net, looking for the right pictures, re-writing texts over & over, thinking of ideas, etc...).
