Stevie G would have been the captain had JT not been here - without a doubt.

Gerrard is a matchwinner and is often the difference between winning and losing.

JT is however very inspirational and motivates his players - this is mainly why he was chosen.

Not a shock that its John Terry

Was always going to be between him Stevie Gerrard

Both good leaders, both able to motivate & gee up their team, but I would have gave it to Steven Gerrard due to his ability to lift his team with his own ability and get them going that way and not just by being vocal at them

terry, gerrard, along with lampard didnt do shit this past world cup.  Ashley Cole should get the yellow band, IMO.

He is an awesome left-back but he ain't exactly inspirational, would you rely on him to get you through a game when you go down to 10 men?

I would rely on John Terry for something like that.  A rock at the back.
