Sikotic Presents: A Classic Wrestling Moment Vol. II
« on: August 12, 2006, 01:13:36 AM »
Back in 1999. I know anyone that was a big follower of the WWE and WCW at the time marked the fuck out when they saw this on Raw. Just listen to the Hogan-like reception he gets when his name appears on the tron:

I marked so hard when that happened. I was saying for years that if Jericho went to the WWF he'd be a big star. I remember him in WCW and they would never pushed him, and I was like, I bet you in WWF, they'd make him champ. Of course Rock and Austin always had to have the belt, but once Austin was on his way out, Jericho was the first ever Undisputed champ, on top of like 9 IC titles, and cutting some of the best promos I've ever heard.

He's basically staying away from wrestling all together. Dude has been doing improv comedy, hosting a satellite radio show, and I heard recently doing some show on Fox that's being produced by the American Idol guys.

I think he'll be back. Wrestling is what he's best at. He probably just got fed up with the bullshit of it all, and wanted to accomplish other things in his life. That's cool, at least he actually put Cena over before he left.

Yeah that was some classic shit.  That was at the tail end of my wrestling obsession days.  I remember exactly where I was when that happened.

Great video. Them two had a bunch of great promos together. Two of the biggest entertainers in wrestling.

That video made me look for some wrestling videos on youtube myself and this is what I found.

Rockers vs. Power & Glory from Summerslam 90.

Power & Glory were a very underrated team in my opinion and they had one of the greatest tag team finishers in history which can be seen at the end of the video. Sad thing about the video is that one of them is dead already. Whatever old video you´re watching chances are that one is dead already. It´s fucked up. RIP Hercules.

its funny u post this, i watched this video like 4 days ago.  I remember this raw like yeasterday.  Jesse the body was a ref for one match.  HBK showed up.  Austin got hit with a brick or something.  And jericho.  everyone knew it was jericho.  And everyone still marked out like a 7 year old.

I was one of the few who didn't know because I kinda stopped watching WCW. I wasn't even watching WWF on a continual basis, but I decided to that day. So when Jericho shows up on RAW I was like "NO FUCKIN WAY!!!"
