Yeah, Bischoff and co ruined that angle. It had so much potential, too, Jericho was taking NOTHING and making it something HUGE. He was just destined to be the next guy Greenberg squashed, but instead of just making it meaningless, he actually stretched it through nothing short of his own talent into something highly entertaining. The few weeks they did it, he was the best thing on the entire fucking show.

its a case where the guy who put over the other guy comes out looking better. Jericho now looks better in terms of overall career than Goldberg. Even after he put him over. In WCW, I would have had that match a PPV main event, even had Jericho out smart Goldberg until the Goldberg squash, but instead, WCW dropped the ball. And that's why McMahon was signing Bischoff's checks.
