I play on the server Lethon. Horde side. Been playin for a year or so. Fun game, pretty time consuming.

I played it for the last 10 days cause I got a trial version. Some friends of mine play it that´s why I started it. I don´t know yet if I will buy it. I mean it has some pro´s of course. The world looks fucking amazing. ..but to me it plays more like a single player rpg that is blown up to appear as a mmorpg. All you do at the beginning is the quests. They´re fun and all and when I played I played for hours. I played the whole night but then when I stopped playing I didn´t have the feeling that I wanted to go straight back and play again. I´d want that feeling cause if I pay 13 euros for it a month it better be worth it. Cause those 13 euros could be spent for beer too.. lol

Then, there seem to be some issues with pvp, compared to other games wow pvp is crap and that´s what I´m looking for in a game at the end. At first you level and all and get your items but then I want to pvp and from what I heard and from what I´ve seen from the few duels that I did it´s pretty easy. Basically it´s about who starts the fight and who runs out of mana first will lose.

I played Ultima Online for years and I gotta say pvp there is fucking great. Graphic-wise it´s no comparison but if they don´t improve on the pvp part then it gets old after some time. Nothing beats guild field fights where you fight 5 on 5 or more.

It´s a great game, it looks great, and you can always try it out with the trial version. Even if you bought it and just played the month that is included it wouldn´t be a waste of money. Plus I´m pretty sure tha the game picks up after you reached lvl 20 or whatever..

When I play it i might even join some of your realms where you´re playing...

So, you're basically saying that world of warcraft won't give you the thrill 24/7?

It´s not like that I want or have to think about the game 24/7 but the best games are the ones where time flies by and you can´t wait to play it again. I mean I haven´t made my mind up yet. Plus I have probably only seen a small part of it but I mean I wasted enough time for MMORPG´s and if I´d really start another one then I´d want it to be really good and "worth" my time and money.

Like I said in my previous post I´m more a UO guy. UO is a game where you basically just have a world where you can be everything. You could play a thief or a murderer or just a guy that runs a business and sells various things etc. Also you don´t have any quests at all. The only action that occurs is when the players do something. Might sound boring but the thing is that this is what makes a mmorpg in my opinion. Like you´re out hunting for some good items and then a bunch of people come and kill you and take all your shit away. Then you can choose what to do. Either you say fuck it and hunt again or you get some people and hunt them. It´s so much fun. It´s about player interaction.

In WoW you only do quests - from what I´ve seen so far at least - and that´s not how I imagine an online game. I mean it´s online so you should have more interaction between players. From what I´ve seen all you can do is do quests in a group. That´s not enough combat - related player interaction for me. You never have to worry that some people run in and just steal all your items or whatever. .. and that is where the fun starts.

I might not be the right guy to talk about it cause I only played it for 10 days and not really every single one of those 10 days. The Big Bad Ass might tell you more about it. In the end it´s about what you like. If you´ve never played an online game like this you should definitely check it out.

One dude borrowed the disc/passwords/whatever you need to activate the game and he disappeared for a few weeks, no joke lol. That's why I never got into it. It does seem like it's alot of fun though.

He's right, I got some friends that would rather stay home and play that shit than go out to a house party. Stay away from this game.
