how is Jay-Z "straight pop"... i mean the mandatory 1st single's gotta be alittle bit Pop... and even Izzo was tight, had seemingly meaningful lyrics, and had a tight Beat with a tight sample. The rest of the album is full of bluesy, soulful thinkitive songs. Pretty much. I think it's weak to say that Jay is "straight Pop". He's not Ja-Rule. I aint hating on him, but his album is full of the same type of songs as his singles

hizzo was tricky... i mean , he took the beat from tha jackson 5 n some lyric from the girl , so he do a little mix with some of his shit n voila he got another hit , but this hit i didn't like it , it's too much .. he wanted to hit a lot of people with this shit n he did, but i ain't fallin .. jay-z is wack now... i got some of my boys who back in the days live by jay-z , now they don't even want to listen to his shit, that hard, froma #1 fan to not at all. like on takeover.. but referring to him  :-/

and  hellrazor i don't think that the main idea of this post is about old shit, i don't know if i'm wrong but he wanna know who nowadays still sold well , mean  who back in the days that was selling good n still selling good today

Finally somebody said it... When a single come out they all like him, then they hate on him and call him pop cuz he has catchy hooks and a lot of fans...Same shit happens with Snoop, Dre, Eminem,.. Etc we need haters to give dre some inspiration

the only peeps in the rap game that are actualy pushin major units have to be snoop, dre, outkast, nelly, ja fool, gay-z, and feminem. that's bout it. and only like the poppiest artists out of the artists i mentioned are sellin lots the others are only sellin around 2 or 3 million that's still good but not huge.

it's ain't about pac , it's about death row promotion... the shit is wack compared to pac usual shit,, nowadays it's all about makin money so they flood the shit with wack remixes.... let's face it pac was good but  until the ends of time wasn't comparable to tha blueprint, stillmatic, tha last meal, chronic 2001 etc

Comparing UTOET (which is all old material) to new albums like Blueprint and Stillmatic is like comparing Magic Johnson to Kobe Bryant.  The newer one will always be a step above of the old one, cause the new one watches what the old one's tricks, and takes notes. In this case, you can hear 2pac's style in all the rappers you named.  If Pac were still around, would you be saying the same thing?  NO.
