You mean recently?  I mean I've heard a few tracks that were supposedly recorded recently, all of which have been dope.  He's such a dope MC - probably my favorite in the game right now.  I imagine he'll be droppin here before too long.

name 3 rappers in ny that have the lyrical skill, flow, and content he does.  He is quite possibly the most underatted MC to ever do it.

well all of these 20 might not be better mcīs so i have to take that statement back(but i think their better as overall artists). this is just my opinion so there is no need for anyone to get butthurt. and i know that some of these artists have fallen off but their best material still stands.

Rakim,Nas,Kool G Rap,GZA,Masta Ace,KRS-One,Jay-Z,Big Pun,Biggie Smalls,Ghostface,Raekwon,Talib Kweli,Jadakiss,Big L,Method Man,LL Cool J,Melle Mel,Chuck D,Busta Rhymes(call me crazy if you want),Mos Def and Prodigy is his old form was better IMO.

You should cop his last album from last year called AWOL.  That was fire.  Production was nice as well.  "I could yawn, sing a song, I'm the Don King of Don's, Word is bond."  City of Gods is a sick ass track.  As for his new album, I think it will be out this fall.  I am gonna go out on a limb and say November.

I'm not saying some shit like AZ>>>>>>>YOUR FAVORITE MC by any means.  But by your own admission several of those in your list have dropped wack material, especially in the last several years.  I look at AZ as a dude who, lyrically is as sharp as ever and still can wow me with his verses.  Plus, I respect that he's not cutting his nuts for a plaque like several of the dudes on your list.  He's not following a lot of these bullshit trends that goes on in mainstream hip hop, he's being himself.  And as far as anticipation, I'll ALWAYS check dudes verses - his flow is so sick..just attacks beats, can make your head spin with his multi's, all while droppin some thought provoking shit.

If he walked around hyping himself half as much as these wack rappers today he'd get more exposure.  But he doesn't do that, he lets the music speak for itself.  I really think he's a dude that's gonna get a lot more recognition but it won't be till he hangs up the mic.

He still embodies hip hop still busts MC rhymes at a time where everybody else is copying everything they see on tv.  So it's lots of reasons why he's my favorite right now.
