nah... pharrell/lupe etc is the tip of the iceberg... u heard of Kayo corp's brands DGK and Organica?  how about the DGK/stevie williams reeboks.. all 'hiphop' centric skate companies..

skateboarding's home is the west coast. the industry heartland is the bay.. its deeper than that... like i said FAB has been in thrasher.. also owned the company that runs indie trucks.. they're in the bay, pretty sure SF too.. they have some kind of interest in deluxe distribution who are definitely from SF.. and hubba wheels is a deluxe company.. (i buy my boards from Krooked which also a deluxe company..)

and hubba has always had a "pimp" image as it is
