UK Folks.. Which WII titles to buy on launch?

but what launch titles are we getting?

wii sports with it...

zelda and red steel look fantastic.. and super monkey thing was brilliant..

and of ocurse.. i want tony hawks downhill thingy.. but its not on play.com


and where can i preorder from with guaranteed next day etc thats reliable?

I don't think they've finalised the launch titles, but Super Smash Bros looks good, as well as Zelda & Metroid.

And for ordering games, Gameplay.com is the only one I use. If you pre-order a new release, you'll usually get it a couple of days before it's out in the shops.
They do free 2nd Class delivery, but if you pay 99p for 1st class you'll more often than not get it the next the day, making the £4.99 express option redundant.

We'll probably see most of their launch titles by Christmas.

ok i'm preordered.. and getting zelda on the release date..

the rest of the games are looknig like Red Steel and Super Monkey Ball..
maybe tony hawks depending upon reviews..

and anything else the US reviews show up to be hot

i think i'm gonna pre-order from a physical shop rather than online..
just realised play.com wont ship to my work address.. and no guarantee of the day.. with a shop i can go in and kick ass.

Avoid GAME like the plague...with the 360 they were only selling consoles to those who were willing to pay ££££s extra for a "value bundle" with a shitload of crappy 3rd party accessories.

GameStation usually come through and surprisingly so do places like Tesco and HMV (especially in the outer reaches of London), where the early adopters don't think to look.

im not from UK but europe = PAL so...
im gonna get ZELDA ofcourse
might get that "WiiPlay" its a mini games kind of game but i heard u get a controller with it

not all of a sudden.. i've been laying in the cut.. now the date is out.. the price is ok-ish.. i'm down 

i figure i can get the console + zelda pretty cheap.. i can get 3/4 more games for xmas.. and a couple more on my birthday shortly after xmas.... its not a huge outlay to "pimp my wii"

i work at hmv and we are taking pre-orders as of last week, think u gotta pay a £30 deposit, order one as quickly as possible because we had a butt load of pre-orders for the 360 and only received 10 consoles with a lot of pissed customers, i doubt this would happen with the wii but if u want one guarenteed then pre-order now-ish.

I believe that the 360 only had 250,000 or so consoles ready to go in the U.S. (at least) last launch... the ps3 is trying to have 400,000 in the U.S., and I believe the Wii is trying to have like 2 fucking million in the u.s. 

I know numbers would be different overseas, but I'm just saying I don't think the demand, FIRST DAY, will be as bad as it was with the 360... but I imagine if you wait a few days you're going to have trouble getting one, they'll likely sell most of the stock in a few days.
