Right now....your ten most anticipated West Coast albums
« on: September 24, 2006, 10:38:46 PM »
As of now, what ten albums are you looking foward to the most, whether you know they are coming out soon or if they might not be out until 2009? You can even name an album that has no infomation, or something that may be more of an idea than a concrete album release.

1. Detox - Just, because...

2. Snoop Dogg - The Blue Carpet Treatment - Sounds like it'll be his best album since Da Last Meal, and he's still my fav. artist of all time.

3. DJ Quik - ??? - I don't know anything about it....but being that he was in jail for the first time to my knowledge, I have a feeling that he will have A LOT to get off of his chest, and he might come with one of his best albums lyrically.

4. The Federation - ??? - I don't know much about it, but they've had three singles out. I don't think these three have been anywhere near as dope as some songs on their first album, but I still think they will come through on the album.

5. Bishop Lamont - [Aftermath release] - Hopefully this will drop...and if it does, I have a feeling that it will be an even better album than The Documentary. Bishop's flow is a lot more diverse, and he has a knack for making good songs.

6. Glasses Malone - The only reason I'd anticipate Bishop's more is because it will be under The Math...but at the same time, I know Glasses' album has a greater chance of coming out.

7. Game - Doc's advocate - I still think it will be a solid album that most will either like or hate. I don't see it being anything near The Doc, but I think it will at least be as good as "The Massacre" or even Lloyd Banks' first album.

8. Crooked I - ??? - This would have been my #2 or 3....but we've been waiting TOO fucking long....with Dre, we know that he takes forever, but he has the track record to prove that his albums are great, and we know to expect the unexpected but in a good way. With Crook, most of us love him as an artist, but we are still curious to see if he can make a complete album that represents his dopeness.

9. Eastwood - ??? - I don't know many details about his album, but "Bay 2 L.A." with E-40 was great to me, and his delivery was just soundin butter on there. I don't know what direction he's goin with the album, but a few snippets I heard sounded cool.

9. Ya Boy - ??? - I donno who he'll be under, but I think his album will be dope, depending on the direction they take it. Personally, I think it would work best with a few "crossover-hyphy" tracks like "Blow the whistle" just to get the buzz out, then keep the rest street but heat.

10. Kam - Hopefully he can end up droppin an album soon enough that isn't rushed, and that is relevant for what's going on as usual.

About half of the ones you mentioned are the same as mine...

1. Dr. Dre - Detox: I've got a feeling this is gonna raise the bar for production period & sound a lot like the production he did for Busta's "The Big Bang"...

2. Snoop Dogg - The Blue Carpet Treatment: Mostly to hear Dre & Snoop rappin' on a track again, but also because he's been droppin' a lot of heat lately & every song he's been on this year whether he was just a feature or it was only him was hot

3. Bishop Lamont - The Reformation: I can't wait for his to drop simply because I've been a big fan of his since I 1st heard him on J. Wells' mixtape & the True Crime soundtrack & his rhymin' skills blew me away, he's definitely gonna be one of those real spitters that I know can make it to the top with the right production...besides, Dre knew what he was doing when he signed him, so far he hasn't had a bad record with new artists under his wing (Snoop, Eminem, 50, Game, etc.)

4. Glasses Malone - The Beach Cruiser: For the same reasons as Bishop, he keeps it real & he seems to be in charge of the "New West Movement" which I don't doubt for a second...I just hope that him & Bishop are able to sell well next year when their albums drop & that their release dates don't get pushed back

5. Crooked I - B.O.S.S. (Beginning Of Something Serious): When Crooked said from beginning to end it's gonna be fire in the WCRydaz interview, I believed him...Young Boss Vol. 2 is real dope & I'm sure Vol. 3 & 4 will be too so I'm not gonna doubt the B.O.S.S. album neither

6. The Game - The Doctor's Advocate: I'm guessin' this is gonna be the sequel to the Documentary since it's gonna have the same production & all minus the G-Unit...

7. Westurn Union - ?????:  Bad Lucc, Damani, & Soopafly make a dope team & so far their songs have been FIRE, I hope this group gets Soopafly the break he deserves since he definitely needs a break...

8. The Warzone - ??????: After hearing the new songs they did on their MySpace page, they sound like Kam, MC Eiht, & Goldie Loc got real good chemistry together & with Snoop backing them up on their new project, they should at least get a LITTLE exposure...

9. Lil' Eazy-E - Prince Of Compton: After hearing "This Ain't A Game" & "Me & My Gang" from the new mixtape, I knew I had to go out and get his album when it drops...to me he's got what it takes to blow up but I hope his album doesn't get pushed back to the point where it won't come out...

10. Ya Boy - ??????: Hearing more of his freestyles & his songs he did from Game's BWS Journal Vol. 1 made me like this cat even more...he's one of the artists that I definitely wanna see blow up...

Also wanted to add some more artists' albums I'm lookin' for: Mykestro, Problem, Spider Loc, 40 Glocc, Sly Boggy, Dirty Birdy, Young Joker, E-White, Disko, K-Active, Techniec/Dynamic Certified, Tha Realest, Taje, Black-Ty, San Quinn's new album next year...

Bishop Lamont - I reallly like him as an artist, and if what I read was right, he's gonna have some bomb ass production too

WC - One of the illest on the west, how can you not anticipate his album

Dr. Dre -  :o  I know that will be my reaction when (if) it comes out

Glasses Malone - He's really dope, I'm curios about the production he's gonna have

The Game - I wanna see how he does it on his own, and I really want him to spit that mixtape heat

Soopafly - After hearing the snippets he has on his site, I really want him to drop an album to see how it will be.I think he can really bring something unheard and fresh to Hip-Hop, production wise

King Tee - Has only improved with time in my eyes. There's more chance of Detox coming out this year that him dropping an album in the future, but if he does I think it'll be solid

The only album I'm anticipating in the near future is

W.C.- Guilty By Affliation

I'm anticipating another album from Quik in the near future as well, but it has been rumored that it will be more a "camp" or "duo" rather than another solo album...sorta on the lines of The Konnectid Project, but still if nothing else, the production should be top notch and on point

Also, looking forward to another mixtape by Dj Crazy Toons....It was mentioned that a part 2 of the "CT Experiance" was in the works and would be dropping as well

I think Snoop's album is gonna be very dissapointing and Game's album will be str8, even though I ain't really feelin the first single and the rumors about Dr. Lazy....I mean Dr. Dre not being on the album  ::)

LOL...U Mad? Fag
Fuck that fake ass crip Crip2nite.  Gets on my nerves how some people on these forums
