Why I would vote Chronic - Grounbreaking Album, had an amazing mixture of songs from political commentary, to laid back, to party, to serious, to lyrical (at the time). Production was unheard at the time, and the way he interpolated old school music and made it modern was great. We'd never heard songs take modern drums at the time, but make them even more hard hitting and sharp, then put live instruments along with classic funk sounds. Set the comedic tone for many gangsta albums to come, although the humor was very NWA inspired. Had the best song in rap history, Nuthin but a G thang. Why I wouldn't vote Chronic- Many songs sound dated, which makes plenty of sense for it to be 14 damn years old. But some songs that sounded more NWA than "G-Funk" are harder to listen to and harder for youngsters to appreciate. I got into rap a few months after it released, so I loved and still love the singles, as well as a few more songs...but there are some songs that I just can't get into as much. Why I would vote Doggystyle - Took what Dre did on the Chronic to another level production wise, and had 100% solid production on every track. Some songs still sound modern. Snoop had the greatest flow of all time when he dropped it, and his flow still sounds modern today. This is my favorite album of all time, because of how good it sounds from start to finish. This is the album that got me into rap, and inspired me to rap (back then) and eventually produce. Why I wouldn't vote Doggystyle - Topics weren't as diverse as on Chronic, and it wasn't as groundbreaking. There were some small errors on the album that showed how rushed it was. Ummmm.........................***goes to find a coin***
