Even in '06: "Who is it? That black nigga with the big dick, posted up with Crazy Toones takin your trick" to open his spit on "Roll On Em" from CT Experience.

Ren's explosive approach made him great on guest spots.

BTW: I can up that track if ya'll want, tracks sick: Xzibit, Maylay, Ren & WC.

All these rap niggas that retire allways comeback.

Too Short had a retirement party n everythang thenhe has released about 7 albums since lol

As for Ren he easily replaced Cube as the rhyming nigga with his flow, presence and rhymes on Efil4Zaggin.

Shock Of The hour/Villian In Black were dark n dope albums.

That John doe and Ruthless were let downs, he admits it about the latter. He needs to get sharp lyrically as he was in his younger days.

Ren - yellin fuck the Police since niggaz been pop lockin

I think MC Ren in his prime actually was a pretty good lyricist.  Just check out songs like "Final Frontier" and some of the ones on NWA's "Efil4zagin" album.  I think for his time, his lyrics were pretty amazing.  Putting him in the context of today's top mcs, maybe he isn't quite what he once was, but I still get a kick out of hearing him on when he releases something new.

You might be right.  It could've been around the time Dj Train passed away.  I can't remember exactly when that was though.  I know he mentions him passing in the liner notes of "Villain in Black."  Would that have made it around '95/96?  It seems like I remember hearing that he had unfortunately passed away in a bad house fire.  It sounded pretty terrible.  It seems to me though that Ren's style started sounding a little different when he dropped that "Shock of the Hour" album, so I don't know.

^yea, DJ Train went into a burning building because he thought there were people in thier that needed help(i think one of his kids)  it ended up that nobody was in the house, and Train died looking for someone who wasnt there.

RIP.   8)
