Still I Rise

Since everybody is all riled up about this Pac's Life being remixed to hell, what did you guys think of Still I Rise? I am bumping that right now and this album is classic. You Can Be Touched is a crazy cut, of course the Pac solo was amazing too on the OG, but that Johnny J beat was bangin. High Speed reminded me alot of Runnin On E but that cut was nice. Hell 4 A Hustler (I like the OG better but this one is cool), Good Die Young, As The World Turns, fuck it the whole album bangs.

Yeah that was back when producers that actually worked with Pac could redo their tracks or just touch them up a bit. I am not sure how many tracks were left alone but even the remixed cuts are top notch. Still I Rise is the shit on here too. Man I used to bump the hell out of this.

This is underrated. The remixed some of his shit right. Still I Rise and R U Still Down are examples of those.

Still I Rise was in my system, and headphones all of late 99, early 2000, and on to the summer. It was right next to 2001, and Streetz Iz A Mutha. I loved that CD to def, and remember playing the hell out of it. It was, and still is in my opinion, the best after death 2Pac CD out. I remember Until the End of Time, thinking they ruined 2Pac, then hearing Better Dayz and saying, that's worst than UTEOT, and then hearing Loyal to the Game and thinking that that's worst than UTEOT and BD. Nothing has yet to beat Still I Rise yet, in terms of remixing the songs. Not the best lyrically, but the best because it was the truest to 2Pac's style, and the beats actually fit the lyrics.

As for Hell for a Hustler, I liked the remix better than the original. I think that the ghostly feeling to the song adds so much more, especially since 'Pac did die, and his asking for the Lord's forgiviness. The other beat sounded more streets, but the remix fits better than the original.

Hell Yeah, what you said  Best Pac album after he died. Some of those other albums had better tracks as far as lyrics but the beats did not hold up UTEOT was tight too and I even liked Better Dayz but Still I Rise=

The best postmous Pac album is R U Still Down, no doubt. They remixed the tracks, but they are real similiar to the OG's, and they didn't change "the soul" of the tracks. They didn't even add other rappers instead of the OG ones featured in the tracks. So they did a great work. Still I Rise is too much remixed, but at least they did it the right way, adding the Outlawz in the tracks, and letting real producers do the work, like Johnny J. Great work. The "problem" is when they let Eminem produce the tracks and when they add G-Unit and T.I. on the tracks!!! That ain't 2Pac.

true shit. R U Still Down was the best. Only Fear Of Death is errie as fuck. Do 4 Love has to be one of my fav pac songs ever. When I Get Free Part 2 great. They still had that early to mid 90's feel that the lyrics had been recorded at that time (this is what Me Against The World would've been until Tupac switched it up due to him feeling Ready To Die covered that subject line)
