WARREN G & DEATH ROW
« on: December 09, 2001, 07:30:26 AM »
Why i always seen in websites that Warren G was been a Death Row artist? He never signed with Tha Row. NEVER. Back in 1994 he had an album ready, but Death Row didnt have time to release it (they wanted to release it in 1996 or something, after Tha Dogg Pound).. so he moved to Violator/RAL and released quickly his album.

REGULATE single was released by Death Row (cause it was a track of ABOVE THE RIM, a Death Row compilation), but Warren G wasnt a Death Row member. In no way.

Yeah, half of REGULATE... G FUNK ERA was probably made at the Death Row studious, but they never signed Warren G.

It's like The Outlawz before the death of Pac. They made a lot of collaborations with Pac, but they wasnt signed by Death Row. They signed AFTER Pac died. Big Syke and Hussein never singed.

U know what i mean?

I heard a lot of BS about this thing, like the fact that Suge kicked Warren G out cause he was a crip, or shit like that. Or that Warren G was a Death Row member kicked out. BS!

It was just business. Death Row was busy, so Warren signed with Violator/RAL.

the Ronin Ro book claims Suge and Warren fell out at a dre party.  (there are claims suge slapped warren about, warren denies it)

also that the line  "64 chevy RED to be exact" was changed because Suge was fed up of them claimin crip thru everything.

if suge had so much power over snoop then why would he even let snoop mention blue or crip.  suge could have changed that if he wanted to. IMO

Are you trying to say that Suge refused a 4x platinum album and a potential super star (Death Row made a lot of money with Regulate single and Above The Rim OST thanks to Warren), and a tight as fuck producer, only because of this BS? Hahahah.. C'mon! I thought it was all about MONEY & Business.

It's everytime the same shit! Like when i heard that Suge killed Pac cause he wanted to left Death Row. I dont believe this BS, man! It's all about music.

Warren never signed and that's a fact. Suge didnt kicked him out simply cause he wasnt in the roster. Simple as that. Plus.. why the hell did he signed guys like Tray Deee then? TOTALLY AGAINST THE BLOODS! What about Snoop? What about Daz? Suge doesnt give a fuck about this bullshit, man! He cares about MONEY. And that's all.

Warren got jacked by Bloods AFFILIATED with Suge, not by Suge himself, I believe it's true...makes sense...that's why he refused working with Death Row. Suge didn't do shit...

Warren didnt refused to work with Death Row. He worked with Death Row for The Chronic, Doggystyle and Above the Rim. He simply didnt signed cause Death Row had a busy shedule and they wanted to release his first album in 1996 instead of 1994. He just wanted to release it quick. That's why he left, and that's why he's cool with Death Row (they never dissed him. Even now!). He moved to New York.

It's about music. Not about WARS.

Like when Warren refused to sign with Aftermath. Not cause Dre kicked him, but just cause Aftermath had a busy shedule (with Chronic 2001 and Eminem) and Warren G wanted to release an album quick. That's why he moved to Restless. And this is the main reason why he aint on Dogghouse Records. He's an artist, and he wanna release shit, he doesnt want to wait! That's all.

Then maybe it's true that some Bloods kicked his ass, but it has nothing to do with music.

TRUE! Didn't say anything else...I think that was after Chronic & Doggystyle was recorded. He just stopped hanging at the Death Row studios...sad but true!

Actually that's wrong. He made Regulate for "Above The Rim" AFTER Doggystyle. He released the single AFTER Doggystyle. He made GROUPIE with the DPG AFTER Doggystyle (actually in 1996). And he produced half of his 1994 CD Regulate... G Funk Era at the Death Row Studious.  :P

Oh.. yeah! That's possible. Why not? I dont know the true. Who knows? But.. like you can see.. backing to the point of the topic...
1. HE NEVER SIGNED
2. HE WASNT KICKED OUT DEATH ROW BECAUSE HE WAS A CRIP

Probably he had problems in L.A. with some Bloods, it's possible. But that's another story. U agree?
