Find this interesting.

G-Unit/Shady/Aftermath seems to be fucking up their album promotion every has flopped.

Busta only has sold 540,000 to date, not sure bout opening week, but I doubt it was anything crazy. Obie has only sold 150,000 to date. So he is for sure a major flop. Banks selling only 140,000 isn't terrible considering the sales of everyone else lately, but compared to what he first did, 400,000. It was a major flop. Game attacking G-Unit has certainly paid a toll on their sales. Before you all say it wasn't Game, believe me, if Game was still on G-Unit, none of yall would be screaming snitch when you see 50.

Noone screams "snitch" when they see 50, you would be actually kissing his ass. Even Game won't scream that.

And I really doubt this is because of Game, it's because of the state of music industry.

So I guess the Game is responsible for every other rapper not even on those labels not selling?

Yes, Game is responsible for the record industry's slump in sales ACROSS THE BOARD. It's so obvious, I don't know why I didn't see it earlier.  ::)

people are fickle so I'll buy that Game might have a hand in "some" of the decline in sales.  But I'm pretty sure album sales across the board are down.  I think another thing you have to think about is that Shady/Aftermath/G-Unit hasn't released all that much lately.  And of what I've heard from them this year, the only thing I really liked was the new Obie Trice album.

game was a factor but there r loads of other factors to why g unit aint selling.

how old are u?? are u fuccin stupid or what???. game didn't start this snitch shit. all that shit came from the streets of NYC and Murder Inc did a good job in tellin the world. and nobody gives a fucc what game sais. this nigga stabbed his own brother in the bacc. he's a disloyal nigga. and everybody in Compton and Watts know it. this nigga a clown and no matter how gangsta he tries to make himself sound it can never block the truth. i really dont give a shit if he was on change of heart but the nigga was a stripper in a club. what the fucc nigga??. is you a bitch or what. And I ain't no G-Unit fan. I got love for Spider Loc and Bucc tho. Nobodys perfect but at least they never stripped.

Maybe its because only one of the albums had a hit single 'Touch It' and that was released long before the album came out...

I think Game contributed to them (G-Unit) as being looked at as the old shit and not the "cool thing" in mainstream hip hop.  Much like 50 contributed to Ja Rule being looked at as old, corny shit.  Both Game and 50 were not the direct result of their rivals fading.  Ja oversaturated the market and people were tired of him, if 50 would have began his attack say a year prior in full force it wouldn't have been the same.  Game is a similar situation.  G-Unit was oversaturating the market and just like everything in hip hop were starting to look like "old shit" (regardless of them not being that old)  Game did get at them and put alot of shit out there that made people not fuck with G-Unit.  Anyone who lives in Southern California can tell you that alot of people were or are still rocking G-Unot shirts.  He however is not the direct reason.

The direct reason is not Game or the music industry lack of sales....its the fact that no one stays on top of hip hop for many many years in a row.  Either people get tired of them, they fuck something up themself, or any other combination of reasons.  Very few people have had longevity in hip hop and even those guys "fell off" at one point in time.  For example look at Dr Dre, he has had one of the greatest runs in hip hop period.  There was a point in time when people really were not checking for him like that.  The G-Unit toy soldiers are pretty much done as solo artists, the buzz of 50 is not pushing units for those guys anymore.  50 however will continue to be a platnium selling artist for many years to come.  His brand did take a hit from Game whether people want to admit it or not.  Again, Game was not the direct reason, he wasnt even as big of a reason as oversaturation, but he contributed.

Shit is a cycle in hip hop, no one stays on top forever, and when artists oversaturate the market....like G-Unit and Ja Rule most recenetly have, people move onto other shit.
