Argh okay we can call it Hip Hop, but wack hip hop. The destroy Hip Hop by putting out wack mainstream music, so the fan thinks thats what hiphop is about (money, fame, what cloth you wear etc.)..

The South crunk music did ruin hip hop

Hey both of you idiots need to download this song when you get a chance:

DJ Unk feat. Andre 3000 & Jim Jones - Walk It Out Remix

For Oklin: Andre 3000, someone I'm sure you consider to be Hip Hop reppin' on a Snap/Crunk track. Retract your statement.

For MoSav: A Dipset member on a Snap/Crunk track. Retract your statement.

This is too easy. How can you only target the South for this? You must not know music whatsoever to say such a thing. I'm going to give you 3 examples of people I'm sure you consider Hip Hop doing the exact same thing:

Here's Nas:

The don, all the time, with all the shine
You small time, I ball with mine
Links, minks, Bentley, it's all with mine
My jams bump out to the borderline
UK hot with it, blew spots with it
Every continent love when I spit it
Corners to blocks, even the cops feel it
Brothas on lockdown on their cots feel it
It's real in the field the Last Mohican
Who survived in the streets and did something decent
Now I got plans to buy the whole hood
Legit' now, I ain't gotta lie to no judge
I make hits now, money I flip now
Hood fella every honey wanna kiss now
I lit up my neck, pinkie, and wrist now
So girls everywhere, this is how we get down

He talks about Money, Clothes AND Fame in one verse. According to you, Nas is not Hip Hop? Is this correct?

Masta Ace made a songs called "Inc Ride," "Born 2 Roll" and "Sittin' On Chrome" where all he did was talk about cars and such. According to you, Masta Ace is not Hip Hop? Correct?

Kool G Rap made a song that was all about his hopes of getting rich, hell he even named his album after it (Road to Riches). According to you, Kool G Rap is not Hip Hop? Correct?

Now Oklin, you have to be some sort of idiot to really think this way. I just posted 3 Hip Hop Legends, 3 artists who people seem to think are some of the best emcees ever in the game (hell, you have one of them in your sig)... If these 3 emcees are considered Hip Hop, while doing the same thing you're accusing the South of doing, why is the South not Hip Hop to you? If you could give a straight answer without any holes, you might have a case. But, seeing as you won't be able to, you'll just be labeled as a Hip Hop inept and you're a hater.

Many of these new rappers don't talk about other than money, bitches and fame.
Yeah Nas, Masta Ace, Kool G Rap etc. have done tracks rapping about that, but they got other topics to..
see the difference?
Personally i don't really like Masta Ace's old stuff where he talks about all that.

and yeah it ain't only the south, a lot of rappers from east and west do the same to get fame.. only difference is that they also got quality music which the south don't really have, except some few artists.

Lol at you calling me a hater just because i come in with my opinion

And hmm i think i'm gonna take "destroying hip hop" back, "ruins hip hop" is better

Lil Wayne has many topics. T.I. has many topics. Fabolous has many topics. Joe Budden has many topics. Hell, even Mike Jones has different topics. You ARE a hater cuz you don't listen to everything, THEN judge. You listen to ONE or TWO songs and then make a judgement. THAT'S being a hater.

Since you won't retract "ruins Hip Hop," would you then agree that Andre 3000 is ruining Hip Hop as well?

ya SGV you have no argument with those track examples you give.....

But man the south has great lyricists...and show mad knowledge within their music...lol....sigh. Mainstream artists that are usually new in general are ruining hip hop.....They think the game is something that it really isnt.

is Fabolous and Joe Budden from the south? hmm i didnt know that..
if i listen to 1 or 2 tracks and i don't like them at all, why would i wanna listen to more music from the artist?
hehe so a hater is someone who listen to some few tracks and say that they don't like them?
I never really listened so much to Andre 3000.. but I like some of Outkasts music.. and if I like it, then it is hip hop.. if i don't like it, it isnt hip hop.. I AM HIP HOP hehe.. nah i just thinks that in the 80's and 90's the hip hop was much better.. and most of the hip hop i hear today i don't like, so ofcourse i think it's ruining hip hop..
I'm gonna go to bed now so you won't get more replies till tomorrow

Really? How do they not support what I'm saying? If they can talk abou all that stuff and still be considered Hip Hop, why can't others? By the way, ever heard of dead prez? Little Brother? Field Mob? Strange Fruit Project? Goodie Mob? Don't be an idiot. You don't know Hip Hop.

As per your first question:

Many of these new rappers don't talk about other than money, bitches and fame.

You stated "new rappers" not Southern Rappers.

If you've never heard more than a couple of tracks from an artist, then how can you judge that person? That's like someone judging Eminem only off of "Without Me" and "Real Slim Shady." That's only 2 songs in the many that he has in his catalog. You're not giving the person a chance. That's what a hater does. And, you not liking the music and the music ruining Hip Hop are two dfferent things. I don't like E-40's new album, does that mean I think he's ruining Hip Hop? No. He just made an album I didn't like. You need to differ taste from a fact.

SGV i dont know hip hop? heh, when they say the "south" is killing hip hop...i dont think they mean dead prez and little brother....the "typical" southern rappers ARE NOT GOOD LYRICISTS...its just how it is. They have no knowledge of anything. there is nothing intellectual ABOUT ANY of the tracks alot of them make. Lets say joe budden does a track to make money..woop dee doo no one likes it...but then u listen to his shit over all and your like wow this dude is sick, hes real. these guys cant do nothing but the bullshit music. (alot of them atleast)

So Lil Wayne can't spit some deep shit? Wanna back that up?

Trick Daddy can't spit some deep shit? Again, back it up.

Bun B, Chamillionaire, Eightball & MJG, these are your "typical" Southern Rappers. So, like I said, you don't know a damn thing about Hip Hop.

If they say the South is killing Hip Hop then they mean Little Brother and dead prez, unless they say otherwise. Don't be stupid.

I think the fact is that almost everything has been done, and almost every rapper ( especially the south ) does not want to deviate from whats hot. Nobody is really taking risks anymore, and what attracted me to hip-hop in the first place was because it was "dangerous" and they were doing shit outside the box. Now everyones stuck inside of that box, and someone ate the key. Hip-hop/rap lost it's edge, and I know I'm the only one thinking that.

lmao Lil wayne spittin his deep shit sounds retarded and un-convincing to me...SGV dont talk cocky like you the know it all....you cant change alot of peoples opinions. If i say the south...i do not mean Little Brother and Dead Prez...im talking bout the south you see everywhere on MTV and the radio you dumbfuck....so please know the difference between what the SOTUH REALLY IS and the stereotypical SOUTH. cause i don't think alot of these people are talking about the entire south when they say southern music is killing hip hop dumbass. I don't think everyone is that ignorant to think its the actualy south as a whole and all southern rappers. Trick daddy is also diff that man has been music before the whole crunk bullshit took over. So again ummm wow you have no point. Eight Ball and MJG have been here before this typical south took over....your mixing all your artists up. so if they say the south is killing hip hop they dont mean little brother and dead prez. Geez fucking get over the fact that many people believe this opinion and you cant see it the way they dude. Your perspective is reasonable, and it makes damn sense....BUT THEY AINT TALKING BOUT THE WHOLE SOUTH....are you catching on yet?...IF anyone says the south as a whole (which means they include the likes of Outkast dead prez little brother) then id be damned as well.

You sound upset. Truth hurts people, not lies, so I must be telling the truth. To sit here and try to justify what people are saying with "well I think they meant this." No what they meant is what they said. And there is NO stereotypical South, just as theres no Stereotypical West. Why? Cuz the regions are too big to be stereotyped, smart guy. If you say something from Texas sounds like something from Atlanta, you'd be an idiot. To say something from Memphis sounds like something from Miami, again, would be idiotic.

As for "mixing up" artists... NO. The artists I named are the same artists that represent the South. But they hurt your argument, so you want to move them to the side. Also, prove to me that Weezy can't spit deep. You say he can't, so go through his albums and see if you can't find anything deep on them.

I'm not trying to change opinions, I'm just showing you guys how ridiculous you are and how stupid your idealogy is. You characters are uneducated in Southern Hip Hop. As I watch MTV, I not only see videos from the Young Jocs and the Lil Jons, but as well as the Bun Bs, the Lil Kekes, etc. The balance is there. BUT, when an uneducated hater steps in, he only sees ONE side and THINKS that's fact.
