I heard about them, never got the chance to go, it was hard getting up to LA at that time.
Being a LAKER is a privilige. Unfortunately some "Lakers" have forgotten that.

heres a quick bio about Unity for those that aint knowin'
---------------------------------------------------------------
The Hip-Hop concerts known as UNITY originally started in 1991 and became the central point of a whole Los Angeles Hip-Hop movement. Started by William Lanakila Operin aka "Bigga B," UNITY catered to a growing Hip-Hop audience and laid the foundation for an environment where Gangsta Rap prevailed in the early nineties. Unlike other events of its time, UNITY saw legendary Hip-Hop artists such as Wu-Tang Clan, Nas, Busta Rhymes, Pharcyde, Freestyle Fellowship, Jay Z, Hieroglyphics, Boot Camp Click and others grace their stage. A decade-and-a-half later, UNITY, now called The UNITY Festivals, are being resurrected by DJ Muggs, DJ Khalil, and Chace Infinite, cousin of Bigga B and collaborator on the original UNITY parties. Starting November 2, 2006, and once a month thereafter, Soul Assassins will bring The UNITY to the forefront, starting at The Knitting Factory in Hollywood.
The UNITY isthe most highly anticipated Hip-Hop event around due to the quality of the artists that will appear, and the community atmosphere that UNITY will continue to build via real Hip-Hop music, and brand supporters like MACKIE electronics. On November 2nd UNITY will start the series of monthly gatherings and bring you a union of artists that will develop unique set performances together. creating Hip-Hop history with combinations never before seen and originated solely for UNITY. DJ Muggs, founder of Cypress Hill and Soul Assassins exclaims, “UNITYis essential to L.A. as an integral part of the artistic community, as well as something that has been missing, and is needed. In the spirit of Bigga B, Soul Assassins have decided to reignite UNITY with our own UNITY Festivalsand take it to a new level worldwide.”
The All star line up for the return of UNITY includes joint performances from: Alchemist(Eminem’s DJ), with Rass Kass coming together in the spirit of unity after previous beef…for their first ever joint performance, and Self Scientific (best Hip-Hop duo in L.A. – Rime Magazine) joining Sick Symphonies to celebrate the upcoming Black & Brown Underground album collaboration out in 2007, also a very special (not to be missed) surprise guest combining forces with L.A.’s lyrical pros Strong Arm Steady (new album Arms & Hammers coming soon)
Due to unforeseen schedule conflicts both Evidence, and Defari will not be performing and will instead join Unity in the future. Come join UNITY FEST monthly to experience the UNITY that only Hip-Hop can provide.
