after listening to that i still stand by ALL of my statements, crooked i is still their only substantual rapper

swoop g on the same level as bad azz, you seriously don't now how retarded that is, that's like saying evidence and and mr. kane (puff daddy's white boy) are equal becuase they sound the same...yeah they might sound the same vocally but lyrically.....no dily dally evidence is better, swoop g is over clicheish and has moderate lyrical skills  bad azz is a MUCH better lyrisist than him....all i gotta say is you need to take a music appreciation class

last album that Tha Row released from current artists was from Michel'le in August 1998.  in 2002, Tha Row will be releasing the new artists, along with the new Pac cd in February.  From hearing Eastwood and Crooked I on this track, I'm very excited for Tha Row's future.

Tha Row fuckin said that in 2000, my views don't change for 2002.

Mack 11:  you do make some valid points man, i will be the first to admit that, Ok?

But some of the shit you say is dumb, like saying Bad Ass and Swoop G sound the same.....even if they did Bad Azz is two albums deep and has done a lot of really nice song, all Swoop G has done lately is diss Snoop.  His claim to fame is still "Who Got Some Gangsta Shit"!

And while AB: aren't washed up, they are not on the level they used to be, are they?  If you believe so........

Next, Suge has never been "Forced" to resort to name-calling, he does it by himself usually.  You can't deny this, can you?

Another thing, you say the mods on here are responsible for the Westcoast turning on eachother?  That is insane man, what power do they really have?  The westcoast turned on eachother cuz Suge encouraged Pac to call Dre a fag, he ran his label like a prison, treated his artists terribly, etc etc.

Alot of us have trouble checking for the Row cuz they have a bunch of guys dissing our favourite artists; this pisses me off cuz guys like Tha Realest weren't even around before, and guys like K9 and Swoop were brought into the game by Warren G and Snoop......

I don't like this whole Snoop Crip shit either, and i am not a dickrider of Snoop or any other affiliate of his.

You say Death Row is still producing hot shit, like what?
All of the rereleases and unreleased stuff?  THe Pac stuff?  Chronic 2000?  I mean, they have put nothing out in recent memory to properly showcase their new artists, so how are we all supposed to know if they actually are tight?  Cuz songs like FUCK HOLLYWOOD by the Realest were ignorant, and so was a lot of shit on Chronic 2000(including the title).

Furthermore, have you listened to The Wash?  Because it is a very good soundtrack, who cares if it sells, especially who a Death Row fan!??  The Wash has more good songs (about 7) than Death Row has put out in the past 2-3 years (excluding all of their releases and unreleased stuff).  Plus, i am quite sure The Wash will outsell Chronic 2000 and anyhting else The Row puts out (except for Pac maybe).

I hope what you say is true; that the Row will not resort to all of the "crooked" shit they have done in the past...because i will be checking for them no matter what, cuz they are the label that made me love Westcoast rap back in the day.  I think Crooked is a talented individual, and i hope he has much success.  Eastwood sounds nice on the mic, too.   As for their other artists, i hope they succeed too.....even Ray J, Nina, and Left Eye! lol ha ha

Cuz Death Row is TOO GANGSTA for radio, arent they MAck 11?

Holla back dogg........PEACE

I agree with your last two post that Tha Row future looks much brighter then Dogghouse. I'm just being realstic about it. See lets look at it like this Tha Row is a new label which has nothing to do with Death Row. I read that Death Row is for the old music and Tha Row is for the current roster. Now Tha Row has yet to release anything period point blank. Now take Dogghouse from the start and what have they done.

EastSdiaz 1st album went platinum
Doggy Angel(didn't go gold)
Bad Azz who was consider a major player on the label ( didn't go gold)
Snoop Dogg last meal( it went platinum)
Second East Sidaz from the power house group of the label( has yet to reach gold)
Bones and Wash Soundtracks(no excuses that soundtracks don't sale alot of sounds tracks has like Murder Was The case for example these albums didn't reach gold neither.)

I'm not saying that the new Row roster will have these monster sales because truth is I don't know if they will. All I'm saying is atleast give Tha Row new artist a chance to prove themselves before pasting judgement. Dogghouse had they chance
and out of 7 releases they got 2 platiuim albums and no golds. If thats the sign of that label doing great then someone if in denial.

First, it is more than my opinion that Swoop and Bad Azz sound very similar.

Next, the re-releases and releasing the old material.  That's the only way Suge could make money.  there was an article in Vibe a couple months ago which exposed who REALLY ran day-to-day operations while Suge was locked up, and those people completely fucked up Tha Row.  Suge's brother didn't know a thing about how to run a record labe, neither did Michel'le.  Daz was offered the job to run Tha Row, and he passed, because he wouldn't have made the situation better.  Suge saw all the chaos from jail, and probably made the decision to postpone releasing new material until he could return to day-to-day operations to oversee everything.  at that point, rumors of Suge getting out were surfacing every month, and he was very close to getting out in early 1999, but parole was denied.  Death Row would have died if it weren't for the ex-inmates music.  I personally would have rather had albums out by Soopafly, Top Dogg, Swoop G, etc., but if they were to release those albums, they would have lost money because they wouldn't have sold as high as many people have expected them to.

I don't like Tha Realest either, and I don't think that song should have ever been put out by Tha Row.  It shows how pathetic he is, and how much he really want to be like Pac.

To my knowledge, K9 hasn't dissed Warren G, and Swoop G has his reasons to diss Snoop.  Suge doesn't tell people who to diss.  That "Dre is Gay" shit has been around since the early 90's, and Pac could have just as easily gotten it from Eazy-E as he did from Suge, if Suge indeed tell him to do so.

I have listened to The Wash, and there are a couple of good tracks ("On the Boulevard", "Bad Intentions", "Str8 Westcoast", "Holla"), but overall, I wasn't feeling it.  They could have made this an incredible album, but instead they chose to rush it and put re-used songs on it.  It will have to have a better single out, because Chronic 2000 is almost platinum.

Now that Suge is out of jail, he can be there to oversee day-to-day operations, and make sure that he has people who know a thing or two about the music business working.  They have the talent, whether some of these dick riders admit it or not, now it's up to Suge to deliver.  I'm fairly sure he won't have to resort to dissing Snoop, though in all the interviews he does, he is asked by reporters the same questions bout Snoop/Dre/Pac over and over and over and over.  We'll all find out what happens with Tha Row next year.

good point, but sadly some of those extremely biased Snoop fans won't even listen and continue to diss Tha Row.

I can't say I was ever a fan of "Deathrow" ... I was a fan of Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, DPG and others... I was never a fan for 2pac however I can see why so many people love his music... I saw "Deathrow"  as just being a label, nothing more. When Dr. Dre, Snoop and all the rest left it didn't mean anything to me. They just moved to another label and the tight music continued. I learned more about Deathrow after they starting biting at Dre and Snoop. So, there is no excitement in me for the Deathrow clique. If it's tight, I'll buy it, but I'm not going to buy something just because Deathrow little marquee is going to be on the album.
