Wow, best westcoast song in a long ass time.  Has that true classic westcoast feel, even if its not produced by a westcoast producer.  Xzibit sounds incredible, Snoop kills it, the beat is RIDICULOUS (is that g-funk whistle the same one used in Black Superman?), the hook is TIGHT, in fact the worst part  of the song is the Game!!!  However, you gots to give him credit, he puts together dope songs, picks dope beats.

Yeah that track goes hard. I was surprised to see Xzibit on the album, but I'm glad that those 2 are working together. DPG is on the album too. Game really held the West down on this album.

Tight ass song - real west coast feel to it. I said it in the other thread...this sounds like the 2006 update to G-Funk. Snoop and X came tight. It's especially interesting since Snoop, X, and Game are all west coast cats that were backed by Dre during different eras.

I feel like California Vacation is gettin 2 much hype. I was expecting alot more (based on how people talked). Beat is average, Game is average, and Snoop & X kill it. Eveyr1 talking bout this bein a westcoast anthem. I honestly think "Bang" is better (which also Feat. Game rapping along 2 westcoast rappers). Beat is dope as fuck on that 1.

LOL, ain't no whistle, it's a high-pitch synthesizer.  But yeah, it's the same sample on both songs - "Funky Worm" by the Ohio Players.

Doubt it. Here's why:

Kiss was fresh off the hype of "Why." Fat Joe was fresh off the hype of "Lean Back."

Snoop is riding a lukewarm first single in "Vato." Xzibit is finding no success with his current album. They're not really the names that are grabbing people right now.

To release "California Vacation" as a national single, we'd have to see the next Game single blow up in a major way. Otherwise, nobody outside of Los Angeles would want to hear that shit.

best beat of the album...i dont know how much west coast sounding it could get, maybe if dre produced it?   

but if the hook was a little more appealing to more conservative listners, this would have dominated radio.  flows were nothing special, the beat makes this song, imo.
