kingdia dvd ripper

just got it and wanted to rip a dvd

i have the avi file, but when i open it, it just gives me the score.
when i rip it to a wmv-file, i see it but the quality isn't that good.

i want the avi-file.. does anybody know what could be the problem? normally i am able to see avi-files.
