acid sucks.. depends.. are you tryna go professional?  If so, it sucks... I recommend logic pro 7.

acid is more home based style quality.  It's good..just doesn't have enough shit in it.  Logic in another hand is studio program.  It's very technical and customize your sound.
Acid just gives you preset sound.
