He named his son Harlem Caron, and he was raised Roman Catholic. If you have The Documentary, see the last page. The first person he thanks is Jesus Christ, so I doubt he is Muslim.
Game explains that he named his son Harlem Qu'ran (Coran) in an interview, and that he was referencing the Muslims, he said he wanted his son to have a strong African American name, so he named him after a famous African American city and in reference to Muslims Holy book because he felt Islam was the strongest religion for African Americans. He said this in an interview.
So how often do you have him? What's your son's name?Harlem Caron Taylor. We stole it from Caron Butter of uh, he played for the Lakers last year. We went online, we was like, "We need a middle name!" So we went online to the NBA players, and you know NBA players always got some kinda original names. There's a buncha fly names in the NBA.[laughs]So we went through there and we seen the Kobes and Shaquilles and Alonzos and we stopped. We was like, "Caron!"Caron is cool.Caron is a good name, and plus Koran is the Muslim Bible but we just spelled it a little different. And Harlem is, you know, the first Black-owned city in America. So my son got - I wanted him to have a strong name so we settled for that. My mom didn't like it at first, his mom didn't like it, but now everybody love it. And then after he was born, I kinda regretted that I named him Harlem a little bit because I wanted him to be a Junior, after I actually saw my baby. So I tried to change his name after three days. They whatn't havin' it.
