Jay-Z Vs. Jim Jones - The Beef
« on: November 19, 2006, 09:49:29 AM »
Jones dropped a couple of diss records directed at Jay-Z before his album "Hustler´s P.O.M.E." was released.

Capo spoke up about why he dropped the tracks:

"The one where I'm dissin' Michael Jordan?" he told MTV with a laugh. "I'm not really going at him if you listen to it. It's tasteful. This game is built on competition. When [Jay-Z] was hot and had his little eight-summer run, he was taking so many jabs at so many people in the game, it was all love. Now it's my turn, and everybody's included. But I don't do battle rap. I don't have beef with nobody except the devil, so if y'all want that, y'all gonna meet him. This game is built on aggressive competition, and I'm gonna do what I do for the people to understand where I'm going. I got another song coming. It's got Dame [Dash] on it. It's called 'Roc-A-Fella Breakup.' "

Jay-Z shot back with his diss tracks titled "Brooklyn High" (Jim Jones diss) and "Dig A Hole" (Jim Jones & Camron diss).

Less than a day after the release of "Brooklyn High", Capo shot back with the "We Fly High (Beef Mix)" featuring Juelz Santana.

Jones gets a little more threatening than Jay, saying “I told your old ass to chill/ better slow down before your old ass gets killed/ and now they tell me draw the line somewhere/ I'll rather draw nines muthafucka let guns flare (murder!)"

Check out the tracks:

Jim Jones ft. Juelz Santana - We Fly High (Beef Mix)
Jay-Z - Brooklyn High (Jim Jones Diss)
Jay-Z - Dig A Hole (Jim Jones & Camron Diss)

The fact that they even said that makes me question their character.

I AT LEAST give Jay props for getting some balls and retaliating, but it's too little, too late.

Ha I have already responded in a thread where you asked the same question. I am a big Jay-Z fan, as I mentioned before I have been since reasonable doubt but lets put this in perspective Jim Jones is not a talented rapper.

Aha he is my second rapper and yeah his latest album is a massive disappointment and his disses have been weak, he was a fool for even responding in the first place.

What did Master P do?
well him and his goons hogtied Pimp C up in a hotel room and beat the shit outta him after Pimp had said some shit. Pastor Troy had something to say about P only to get knocked the fuck out by C-Murder in a club. but i think he means that Master P never really responded to the artists that jumped ship and dissed him. he just ignored them but that prolly wasn´t a good thing with the results in hand.
