I believe Pac to be one of the best, if not the best lyracist on the topics he used to spit on.

I think that if you take one of the 'O's' out of 'Good' it's 'God', if you add a 'D' to 'Evil' it's the 'Devil'. I think some cool motherfucker sat down a long time ago and said 'let's figure out a way to control motherfuckers'.

Man, Pac is my favourite rapper ever, but he was no lyrical genius.  While he tackled many different topiics, and was quite versatile, he is no lyrical wizard.
A true lyricist refers to someone like Ras Kass, Nas, Rakim, guys who flip their lyrics on a different level, can paint a picture for you while using doep metaphors, similies, words you never knew existed, etc......even a guy like Scarface, cuz he tells a story like no other.
Now, i respect your opinion if  you say Pac was the best lyricist, and i see where you arecoming from.....but it ain't true!

Well since it was my own oppinion I believe it to be true  ;D But, I do praise the above listed as some of the best lyracists to grace a mic, but also I believe that Pac could paint a picture, he brought emotion to every rhyme penned, he makes me feel whut he felt in those songs jus' by listening to his words. Yeah, he had some simplistic songs but they still hit you, well they still hit me. He has penned one of the greatest verses in hip-hop, first verse of "I Ain't Mad Atch", & look at "Me & My Girlfriend", that was some dope word play.

What!?!?! Nobody could paint a picture with words like Pac could. Pac was a story-telling GOD. Nas and Biggie are up there too, but no one made you feel him like Pac did. Brendas Gotta Baby, So Many Tears, I Aint Mad At Cha, Papaz Song, those are all movies on wax kid.

any list that includes the likes of Nelly, Eve, Ja Rule and Master P.... zzzzzz... Blaze's list a few years back was much more accurate.... not totally.. but at least i didnt have to put up with flavour of the moment rappers.

oh... and I dont "feel" tupac anymore than i "feel" biggie.... they were both pretty average to me....

He was still simplistic as far as Lyrics (wordplay, similies, metaphors etc.) goes; but im not saying thats necessarily a bad thing.

Even though i personally dont like Pac, he was the greatest rapper & entertainer that there ever was.
