Best Opening Track?
« on: November 24, 2001, 04:44:08 AM »
Out Of All Albums What Do You Think Is The Best Opening Song. It Doesnt Have To be The Track #1 If Thats An Intro. Cos I'm Not On About Intro's, I'm Meaning The Best Starting/Opening Track.

I Think Snoop Doggy Dogg - Gin And Juice, Dr Dre - Nuthin But A 'G' Thang And TQ - Westside Are All Pretty Good Contenders.

"The Watcher" was a good song to launch "2001."  The way I think Knoc says, "What up Dr. Dre?"  And then Dre starts rapping to him about what's been going on wit him and shit.

"Change Da Game" off of "Balance + Options" was tight.

The one that changed everything, and prolly is the best - "Straight Outta Compton."

Beanie Sigel's "The Truth"... No intro to his album, no bullshit... One of the best opening track EVER...
Nas's "NY State Of Mind" gotta be up there too
Also, Pac's "Ambitionz As A Ridah": made EVERY DOUBTER cop the 1st double album...

Wrong. On Death Rows Greatest Hits. Nuthin But A G Thang Is The Opening Track. So Technically I'm Not Wrong.

And also, Gin and Juice ain't the first song on Doggystyle, G Funk Intro by Rage is; i don't care if it is called an intro, that is a song.  So Gin And juice is actually the third track, unless you are talking about some other album......
