the word classic is used far far too much.. an album cant be considered a classic within 6 years.

Why not??  The Chronic ('91), by 1997 was considered a classic...Doggystyle ('93), by 1999 was considered a classic...

yes but those album started off the whole g'funk movement, so gain classic status for raising the bar level and putting down blueprints for other artists to follow.. no album from 2000 - 2006 has achieved nething near to this..

When I hear classic, I'm thinking what album that I would have gave 5 mics/ XXl too....now from 00-05

I agree with J Steez up 4 tha crown.......

I woulad also say (If not very clode to IMO)

Snoop Dogg Presents Tha Eastsidaz
(Duces and Treys is dope too)
Xzibit - Restless.......Its when X got his fame......Blew up went plat...
Dillinger & Young Gotti
Tha Liks - X.O. Experience
Warren G - Return of the regulator
Roscoe - Young roscoe philiphornia

I do like DPGC U know what Im throwin up.....but I wouldn't say it's classic.....

Umm from Everywhere else besides WC....

Busta Rhymes - Genesis
50 Cent - Get rich or die tryin.....(Im thinking more of the impact this had not that Im a huge G-unit fan even though back then they were ok...IMO)
I guess Eminem Marshall Matters LP as well.....Shit I even use to bump him back then lol
Jay-Z - Blueprint....
Jadakiss - Kiss of death
Fabolous - Ghetto Fabolous (maybe not to every one, but I thought this was dope when it came out)..
Clipse - Lord Willin (Now this shit was banging.....This definately classic in my books)
Sticky Fingazz - Black Trash (Still probably the best story telling album to date)

But seriously.....There should be a lot more classic albums than this.....especially from WC...but hey, it is what it is...

Knoc's "The Way I Am" was pretty solid, and HEAVILY slept on. Too early to say "classic" or even "westcoast classic" but I think it can become a "westcoast classic" at least 8)

I don't think there has been one real classic album since 2000.

same here man. i remember there was mad hype for that album before it came out, and it sure as hell lived up to it. one of the best daz releases since RAW imo. *throws it on*  8) as far as that c-bo goes, i've seen it on ebay for about $10. i dunno if they sell it in stores still or not. i fuckin lost mine like a year ago... i got it on my comp but the quality is shitty.

Murs - 3:16 (The 9th Edition)
Muggs & GZA - Grandmasters

For some albums it's possible to say they are classics after a short time.
Look at 'The Minstrel Show'. That album is so incredible good, everybody should be calling that album a classic, although it's only 1 year old.
