Daz's productions are tight on sdds, and are fire on SSG :o, i have good hopes for the dogg chit album. It coulb be hot

Daz lately has had alot of co producers but I think a Dogg Chit album with beats by Ivan Johnson, Daz, Soopafly Alchemist and Fred Wreck would be dope. It would be cool to have Snoop on a couple of tracks too. All Kurupt gotta do is bring some heat lyrically. If they could sell around 100k like they did on the last one, Daz n Kurupt will have some loot.

I thought it was terrible....I only played it once, and skimmed through it a second time. It had like 3-4 all right songs that were listenable but nothing great. There were some songs that I would hit "next" after only hearin 15 seconds. It didn't even sound like something I could grow on at all.

I do not think it is better than Tha Streetz or Space Boogie or Kuruption, but I do not think that it is bad as everyone says either. But that is just me. I can respect both opinions on it.

I think we are all used to Kurupt the Kingpin and we are quick to compare his new work with his DR days and that is not going to happen. He can still bring it sometimes and I thought he did that on this album. It's like if he does rap well on a track that still is not good enough for people.

Basically:

When a great rapper drops an album far into his career don't expect it to be as good as his earlier releases. It's not fair to him and your expectations won't be met. Appreciate it for what it is, more good material from one of the all time best. Should people hate on Ice Cube and say Laugh Now, Cry Later can't compare to Amerikkka's Most or Death Certificate? No because it's not fair. Very few rappers have put out great albums late in their career. And no one I can think of has put out their best album at the end of their career. So instead of being overly critical of what they do put out, just appreciate it for what it is.

I thought the album was actually pretty good. It spent a good 3 months in my cars 6 disk. Lyrically there’s little surprises but Kurupt’s cadence and content make for very easy listening/cruising music and as far as production Daz (and helpers) came through with some solid beats. The production on “I get high 2” for example is enough to give you Dr. Dre “Doggystyle” era flashbacks and beats like “Scrape thru the hood” and “Yes I’m Quiccer” while modern, are still heavy in Daz styled production.  All in all, I’d give the album a 7 out of 10. Kurupt probably made it in a week and for that amount of work he did a good job.

The album was better than I expected but it was still nowhere close to as what I thought it would it be, Daz did a good job of producing the album but Kurupt just doesnt do what he used to do on the mic, he has fell off so bad :-\

well which one was it? better then you thought or worse?
And Kurupt was good all album. Too many haters. Westside Ridin he killed that shit too
