Worth it or Not?
« on: November 21, 2001, 08:15:10 PM »
I need some new cd's but I need some opinion's first. Are these cd's worth getting???

G Dep - Child of the Ghetto
Ludacris - Word of Mouf
Busta Rhymes - Genesis
Outlawz - Novakane

Now I will probably only get 2 and one of them will most likely be the Ludacris but I need really strong opinions on the others

I heard that the new busta is fucking wack...the only songs that are good in that album is the singles...if your a outlawz fan, then you need to cop the novakane album..and get the new ludacris too...

First Big Jake, have you even heard G Dep's album?  Cuz it is one of the surprises of the year, so open your ears and listen to this "Retarded Monkey" and his damn good album!

Yo, THE ONE, i have heard all 4 albums, and this is what i will telly you, alright......
The outlaws album is quite disappointing, to tell you the truth, their last one was way better.  I wouldnot recommend buying it, but a really nice slow track is "Our Life."
The Ludacris album, it is much better than his last album(so if you liked his last one cop this).  He sounds quite good on the majority of the songs, and Growing Pains is DOPE; So is Saturdays.
Busta Rhymes, that album is actually great, it goes beyond just the singles fukk what you "heard"!  The album is tight, beyond the Neptunes and Dre songs.  (Check his remaek of the Public enemy classic, SHUT EM DOWN).  Buy this album if you like Busta, cuz this the best he has come in years.....
S0, you wanna know if you should cop GDEP?  Well, his singles ain't all that, but the album is.....it is deep, solid all the way through, very surprising to me.  The beats are all dope, bringing out the best in the guy Big Jake calls the "retarded Monkey."  Ya, cop the album.

Of course, this is all if you got lots of $.  Cuz Warren G, Ghostface, Nas, NAte, and more are coming up, and they are all gonna be better than the four you mentioned!

well for me, i ain't getting any of this shit, i'm waiting for the nate dogg, warren g, nas, and mobb deep's shit but let me tell you this, DON'T GET busta rhymes shit, i've already listen to the full album and its fucking disapointing(except for dre tracks even mel-man's shit is whack along with the rest). anyways, the outlawz, i wouldn't get that either since they ain't shit EVEN with pac(except kadafi and maybe fatal), g-dep, i ain't got shit to say about him so make your own decision, ludacris might be something worth to check out but i don't dig his style so its your choice
