Sony dumps Urban Division, Asks Glasses Malone to stay .Stay Tuned For More Info

Sony has dropped its Urban division and will be reassigning its urban acts to epic and other labels under its umbrella... They have asked Glasses Malone to stay however he's got interesting options available on the table... Will he stay or go? We'll soon find out...

Damani is also affected by this decision by Sony.. .should I talk to him shortly I will see whats going on with him ...

yup my thoughts exactly. that label switch fucks up artist deals most of the time. look what happened to Doggystyle Records Artists (besides snoop) when Geffen merged with another label (I cant remember which one).

As for Damani, I've been informed that he had been prepared for this and will be in good shape. Malone has informed me of his options and right now everything is still in the air, but either way he's looking good too...

I don't believe that this will change our plans to drop the highly anticipated "Malone" single all over the net in December like we had planned. We gotta see though...

I agree. Unless this is a move to Columbia or something, Sony is lacking in the promotion department. Especailly when it comes to hip hop unless it's Nas.
