'Harry Potter' makes magical debut
Nov. 19, 2001

We have a new champion: Warner Bros.' "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone" collects an estimated $93.5 million in its opening weekend to make it the biggest debut in boxoffice history, even against four-day weekends. The film, which debuted on a record number of screens, also surpassed "Star Wars Episode One" for the biggest single-day debut in history on Friday. Buena Vista's "Monsters, Inc." falls one notch to second place after two weekends at No. 1 with an estimated $23.0 million. Fox's "Shallow Hal" is next with an estimated $12.7 million. Paramount's thriller "Domestic Disturbance" comes in fourth with an estimated $5.6 million, while Warners' "Heist" from writer-director David Mamet rounds out the top five with an estimated $4.7 million. The weekend's only other new release besides "Potter," Lions Gate's urban comedy "The Wash," takes in an estimated $3.0 million for the weekend and an estimated $3.85 million since its Wednesday opening to place eighth.

I Saw Harry Potter Friday.  Great Movie, Really Original, Great Acting, Really Pretty Exciting, Too, LOL.  I'd Give It A 9.2 Outta 10, Or So.

The Wash Cost 3 Million To Make, So, 3.84 Million Is A Profit Out The Gate.  No Other Movie Out Can Say That.  Harry Potter Cost What, 100 Million To Make?

ISaw The Wash Today, It Was Alright... Not As Funny As Friday, Or Even As Funny As 3 Strikes.  Just Seemed Like A Movie For Snoop And Dre To Play Around In, There Wasn't Even That Much Chemistry Between Them, You'd Think They'd Never Even Met.  Star Of The Show? Eminem, LOL.  He Killed It.  I Think One Day, Eminem, And Snoop Will Be Pretty Decent Actors.  Dre's Always Been Kinda A Stiff Guy, Ya Know Doesn't Show Much Emotion, So I Dunno That He'll Ever Make It As An Actor, But He'd Make a Hell Of A Director. DJ Pooh Was The Funniest Part Of The Movie.  Eminem Did A Freestyle Over The Phone, LOL He Was Like "I Got The Aaaaa KKkkkkkkk, And I'm A Sprayyyyyy, I'm Gonna Make Your Dayyyyyy, I Got The Glock, I'ma Beat Down Your Bloccccckkkk" Or Something Like That.  It Was Wack, But Funny.  I'd Give The Whole Movie Like A 7 Outta 10 cuz I'm A Fan Of The Stars.  If I Didn't Like Rap, I'd Give This Movie A 5 Or So.

Peace!

You like Michael Jackson AND Harry Potter.  You know, Im not hatin (dont get the wrong idea), but the average person might question what team youre playing for.

my little cousin forced me to take him to see harry potter

that shit was pure fucking gay...like i said it's basically a british rip off mitilda and a couple of other children movies

i saw the wash too, it was pretty damn good i'd have to say....WAY better than next friday and 3 strikes but not as good as friday overall i'd give it a 4/5 , it's kinda dumb but it has some tight scenes that are going to be recited a billion times by people on the streets "hey remember the scene where ______ said "_____" " ...that's what this movie is like

Well, YOu Know What... I'm So SURE That I'm Not Gay, That I Don't Mind Mentioning The Things That Entertain Me.  If You're So Caught Up, And So Borderline Fag That Watching A Friekin' Kids Movie Will Turn You Gay, Then You've Got Problems.

Personally, I Can Appreciate Michael Jackson's Music Without Turning Fag... I Guess You Have A Problem With That.  Well, Whatever Brother, If YOu Wanna Be A Fag, That's Fine And All, But I Don't See How Michael Jackson Or Harry Potter Will Influence You.

By The Way, If You lived Near My House, I'd Kick YOur Ass.  How's That?  Little Punk Ass Fag Like YOu Can TAlk Shit Behind A Computer, But Show Up At My House, You Tired Fuck.

I think that if you take one of the 'O's' out of 'Good' it's 'God', if you add a 'D' to 'Evil' it's the 'Devil'. I think some cool motherfucker sat down a long time ago and said 'let's figure out a way to control motherfuckers'.
