My thoughts on this whole Snoop Vato thang
« on: December 01, 2006, 08:14:44 AM »
I look at these boards and have to laugh when I see some of these post with all the rascist propaganda, (On both sides) Yall got dude from Germany constantly promoting some negative shit, because he doesnt live here to see the results of all the wreckless talk. When I owned my record store in the mid-late 90's, I saw the potential in Chicano rap and felt that these cats were going to become a major force in the industry. One of the first cats to start a label comprising of all unknown latino acts at the time was a BLACK guy named Murray Brumfield, owner and founder of La Familia Records. He had everyone from Lil Rob, to Knightowl pass thru his doors. People never talk about him, or give him props, he was doing it long before alotta these cats even thought of putting theyre own shit out. his business practices may not have been the greatest, but if the dude wouldnt have took the risk, alotta the dope chicano rappers would have never been heard. Alotta people are using this whole Snoop thing as a excuse to kick up dust just because this there chance to do, or say some dumb ass shit. you need to stop believing the hype and recognize that aint nobody on the street's of LA superman. People die out here everyday over some bullshit.honestly, I dont give a fuck all these gangbangin ass people could kill each other for all I care, Im just sick of a few muphucas claimin to speak for a whole race of people. if its that serious, put the Guns down and muphucas need to chalk up the sidewalk. If I saw Kramer, I would bomb on his ass,(dude from that whole comedy club fiasco) just my thoughts and if anybody gotta problem with some shit I say, I aint hard to find.

well, we got some bad streets in germany too, lot of emigrants like turkish, eurasian & easteuropean, black, asian people...just to let you know that germany isn't the country that many people in the US think it is...but that's the reason i agree completly with you. The violence on the street is NO good thang it needs to stop, if anybody really from the streets then he knows that. Some of them rich white kids just lay back and enjoy to see the poor people fight, they wanna hear this and that. fuck that. just enjoy the music.
+1 for that good statement sounds like you got brain

What Snoop is doing now in regards to this black n brown situation aint nothing but what Kokane has done FOR YEARS on numerous tracks with different latino artists like Knightowl, Dido Brown, Lil Al, Spanky Loco, Down, Cypress Hill, Lil Bandit, Mr. Sancho, Mr. Capone, Mr. Criminal, Most Wanted, Payso, Mister One, Travieso....

I respect Snoop for pushing that line, but everything is relative. Kokane has been doing it rather than talking about it.

if youre so smart, maybe you should go and do something productive with your lil life instead of trying to beat people with your "intelligence" on an internet forum.

its just so wrong to want to kill a man for 1 thing he did wrong & has sincrely apologized for. what he did was bad very bad but he doesnt deserve the tag of racist i'm sure he has firends from many walks of life

I think we are the ones who blew this up like this.  Chino made the song cause he felt disrespected.  People should have left it at that.
I will say this though, Chino aint the only mexican that felt disrespected.

But this should have never been blown up to how it was.

This is the main problem. You overestimate your opinion to represent or "should represent" more than one person (when all it represents is one person, ala you). Obviously to people of the offended race, or even america they STILL FEEL offended. The sincere apology was just to save his already crumbled career. If its so obvious to see his sincerity why cant you see that? Think if he had disrespected a LOWER MAJORITY MINORITY RACE such as asians, do you think he would have been as "sincere" with his apology? (that was scenario only, no disrespect meant to asians) Note: 'bombing' does not mean killing it means beating the shit out of. Kramer knew he fucked up, it'd be different if the guy just shouted out "nigger" once, held his mouth and widened his eyes knowing he made a mistake, but guess what? he edged it on and took it past then.

Oh, so you like to stereotype the shit out of people "off minor, one occasion things". If thats the case you cant be taken for 'intelligent' because you seem to like to type like a 4th grader. Just equivalent to you sterotyping his entire intelligence when you dont know him for squat. (when the guy is "obviously" smarter than you because he is using his intelligence to open eyes in a positive manner and not to shun people as a wannabe 'superior'.) Now he has a lack of intelligence BECAUSE HE WOULDNT ACT IN A SITUATION AS YOU WOULD, hes less smart? Think about more than just yourself for fucks sake. Notice the example mocking your thinking pattern above if you can double tap and open your mind and notice it. Props trying to do that, clouded visions are not ones to be looked out of when landing planes.

Also there was Hi-C, who was on that rap declares war track with a gang of chicano rappers like Kid Frost way back in '92.

Anyone have that track?

I agree with Bigg Steele, there are a lot of idiots promoting ignorance around here lately.

Apoligies for getting off tracc but im sorry ..  if u took kramer aka Michael Richards apoligy on lettermen as justification or as a explanation for whut he said the other nite .. then i apoligize, but that is 100 % GARBAGE!!!!

im not even black and i was offended by the shit he said  ' Anybody that has 1 percent of ethinticity in there blood, im sure would agree .. That wasnt a 1 off remark, that was a whole tirade ..Shame on that man for the words that came out his mouth that evening!!!

Regardless if those words came from a Jew or someone who was white, latin, asian or otherwise those words would have been a disgrace,So shame on him.. He is a disgrace not just to himself but mankind in general..His reasons and apology for the event made it even worse ..BAD ACTIN JOB ,, im a  seinfeld fan and i tried to watch that shit on the weekend and it wasnt close to being the same ..!!!!

I find your comments very, very funny. I dont give a shit about Kramer, or his apologies. what was said was said, and cannot be taken back and represents the way he really feels because it was said out of anger. for all those that know, I am in the music industry and deal with people of different ethnicities daily and am far from prejudice. My brother Mr Hi-C's fanbase is 90% Mexican, so I am not down with ignorance at all homeboy. I have been all around the world, not once BUT THREE TIMES! I own and operate my own business thats prospering, so Im far from dumb homeboy!
If you would have read the post instead of quickly scanning it and posting your comments what I was saying was if you have a problem with someone go holla at that person, dont take it out on a whole race of people. I cant say how that dude Chino suppose to feel, cus everyman react in the own way to shit, but his beef is with snoop and aint got shit to do with the whole black race. Just last week i got into it with a mexican dude, i was with my daughter and son, so it coulda got ugly. He was calling me all kinda niggers and Mayates and everything else, i was with my seeds, so I wasnt about to get into it with that clown, cus he was a coward. any man that pulls stuff like that is a bitch in my book, cus he knew I wasnt go bang it out with him with my seeds around, to much shit can happen, I say that to say this-just because i got into it with a fool that happens to be Mexican, Im not go get into with everybody I see thats Mexican, all I was saying is fools need to do shit the old fashion way and squab 1 on 1, no guns or wreckless ass songs. so miss me with that bullshit you talkin.
