"The Wash" SDTK...Plays Out Real Fast
« on: November 15, 2001, 11:14:35 AM »
I had for about 8 days and this shit plays out FAST.  I mean, at first shit was bangalangin', now everytime I pop the CD in no songs really interest me.  Album is shallow, so are most sdtk's though.  Half of the album is fillers, and seem to have nothing to do with Dr. Dre's Aftermath camp.  Guess I'm a tad dissapointed.  Maybe when "The Wash" vid hits sales will go up.  The low soundscan results will serve as a motivator fro Dre though.

God damn it..

The soundscan numbers on the soundtrack have very little to do with Dr. Dre or his product.  If it was a Dr. Dre solo project those statements may have SOME relevance...

Wash is hot and yall are faggots for letting the billboard charts change your opinion on the album--especially considering every track Dre is on is hot.

It has some filler tracks but the 2 Dre/Snoop songs are fire as well as that Busta song...As far as soundtracks go this is one of the better ones to come out in years...

"Bubba Talk"
"Holla"
"Blow My Buzz"

Those songs have appeared on other albums first.  "Holla" will be on "Genesis."  I think Dre could have dug up some Eminem track for us.

Dre's shit on there is hot, besides that SugeFight, album is shallow.  I think it's partly cause Snoop didn't take responsibility for his part.  The Doggystyle Records logo doesn't deserve to be on the back of that CD.

Maybe when "The Wash" vid hits sales will go up.  The low soundscan results will serve as a motivator fro Dre though. >>

This is the line that bothered me.  You act as if Dre is making shit music and needs to up his game.

The homie mynameisunkown said that too, the part bout Dre will get motivated if this sdtk fails.  Why do you think Dre came out with heat like "2001"?  Flops like "The Aftermath" and "The Firm" gave him that drive to create shit that would blow us away.

If you've been around here long enough, you know that I know Dre doesn't need to step up his game.
