Exclusive On Dubcnn: New "Tha Blue Carpet Treatment" Leftover Feat. The Emotions

Another day, another world premiere on Dubcnn. After hooking up with Meech Wells to bring you a bunch of Snoop Dogg exclusives, we got another special gift from the Top Dogg. This time around we linked up with Quazedelic and Josef Leimberg of the production team The Soundscannerz. The two producers hit up Snoop's lab a few months ago to record a song for "Tha Blue Carpet Treatment", but unfortunately it didn't make the album due to legal issues.

But Dubcnn is here to change that, because this song is just too damn good and smooth to leave it in the vaults. Just in time for the holiday season we present you this beautiful song called "Life" featuring The Emotions. Looking at this combination alone makes it a must check. Just like many other "Tha Blue Carpet Threatment" leftovers, this laid back cut would have fit the album perfectly. And the list of leftovers keeps getting longer...

As for the Soundscannerz, not only did they do a good job on this track here, but on all the other records they've produced this year. One of them is the new album from Saafir "Good Game: The Transition", but most notably the upcoming X-Clan album "Return From Mecca" coming January 30. Quazedelic produced 5 songs on that album and is also featured on 2 songs. X-Clan's album has more production and/or guest appearances from DJ Quik, RBX, DJ Khalil, Chali2na, KRS-One, and others. You can find a review for the album in the current issue of The Source Magazine (Xzibit cover).

As we previously reported, Quaze and Josef are also coming out with their own record "The Resume", due out January 30, 2007 [see: Quazedelic & Josef Leimberg Ready "The Resume"]. The album will be released on their Soundscannerz label with major distribution. After that you can expect the Soundscannerz debut LP featuring songs with Snoop, George Clinton, Redman, Dudley Perkins, Sa-Ra, Angie Stone, and many more.
