What is your City's Nick Name?

I don't know if there's a website that shows city's nick names?  Like Philly is the City of Brotherly Love, NY is The Big Apple, Seattle - emerald city, etc...

if not, drop your city name and it's nick name (the real nick name, not the hip hop versions)  And say the reason the city is called that. 
These are some that I know


Vancouver - Terminal City - When they built the railroads across Canada, Vancouver was the end of line, it was the "Terminal City"
Seattle - The Emerald City - All the Evergreen Trees make the city 'green' like an emerald
Portland - The Rose City - The climate in Portland is perfect for growing Roses

Oh yeah and 'The Brass City'.

Waterbury used to be the city of brass. Way back when, we even used to make the weapons for like World World War I or something.
