Nas Hip Hop Is Dead Will be best album of the year

I think NAS is the greatest one of mcs ever. Nas is a street mc. He is the voice of hip hop. He will bring back real hip hop and make a lot of money without putting out some corny pop radio track. Just like illmatic, it will be a classic. Im a true west coast hip hop fan, but nas gets the an L.A. pass from me.

Game's album was way better than Nas. Overall better songs with more replay value. You can say what you want and hate on Game, but that's a fact.

Uh, it's not a fact that Game's album is better than Nas'.  Thats an opinion.  Are you basing that on beats or lyrical content? I haven't heard Nas yet so I can't speak on it, but I seriously doubt he's fuckin with Nas on a lyrical tip.  Now Game did have some nice production so maybe that's what you're referring to.

            I'd say Nas and Game are in the same league but Game hasn't hit his peak yet and Nas is past his peak while both are dope.


also, is it just me, or do more west coast heads like nas than jay-z? I live in CA and I prefer Nas and most people I know like Nas better as well. (blam bitches, just made this west coast relevant, the post STAYS in this forum)

I think Nas album is dope, but not hiphop album of the year. I would give Ghostface Fishscale or Lupe's album over Nas. I think Game's album about equal to Nas...

What? One Night, Scream On Em, Wouldn't get far, Bang, Remedy, Da Shit.. are all skippers, well actually, 3/4 of the album can be skipped. Games lyrics are bad on 90% of the songs. The production is good on almost all tracks. Games album would make a good instrumental album. On its own, its average. The lyrics are average, and the flow is OK, hooks are average. Nas's album is almost as good production wise, and if your comparing Nas's flow and lyrics, to Games, well obviously you aren't listening to what Game is rapping about. Games album isn't even on the same level man.

Hip Hop Is Dead is one of those albums that has to grow on me I think, because it ain't a 5/5 for me right now.. Most of the songs are raw though, but I don't know, I think you expect so much from Nas you get disappointed when it isn't a classic. I need more time to review it properly.
