Today we took time to talk with One-2, an artist we have featured on countless occasions over recent years. With his debut mixtape "High School Dropout" being well received and acclaimed, he has been preparing his second release "New Day, New Money" during the past 12 months. We find out about that release, ask what has caused all the delays, find out the current status of Treacherous Records, gauge his opinions on the mixtape game, as well as finding out how he started out and the path that led him into the industry in this exclusive interview. One-2 Interview (December '06)

I'm suprised to see it drop before the years end, and I hope "Shoot To Kill" is on some "Mothafuckin W" back-to-back raw spit.

"Treacherous still stands. It might just be on freeze sometimes, but it's still there, doing their thing" - that's not good enough, he mentions Jayo Felony still on the roster, .. nobody still knew that, they need to keep the fans updated on what the fucks happening over there.

good read. I am a BIG supporter of Treacherous records (although it's hard to be). Knoc-Turn'al is my fav. rapper (great to hear he's still signed), one-2 is dope, crooked I is a fuckin beast, and I also like syke & jayo. Also, when asked who's on the roster, he didn't mention K.Young (pretty sure he's also still signed). I guess Jayo and treacherous patched things up, because him leaving WASNT a rumour, he said it himself. Here is what it says (taken from an interview he did with ballerstatus.net)

In this BallerStatus.net interview, the rapper speaks on why he recently left his situation at Treacherous Records (which is backed by Universal)

BallerStatus.net: I've heard that you have left your situation at Treacherous Records. What made you leave the label?

Jayo Felony: I mean, we just parted ways because I felt that my album needed a bigger push than what they could give me. I'm not in a rush to fail or put out an album that is gonna do mediocre numbers. A lot of people are anticipating my project, but I just need the proper channels to put it through, so it will be done right. For now I'm postponing my album for a minute, until this deal I have in the works goes down.

BallerStatus.net: Ok, well what made you sign with Treacherous at the time, when you say now that you felt they couldn't give you the right push?

Jayo Felony: The bottom line is that they have distribution with Universal, but the thing is can they set up an album the proper way to get it out there to the masses? Basically, they are a new company starting out, and there is a lot to making an album successful, something I feel they may or may not be able to do right away. Nothing against them, but there's just a lot to making an album successful. Right now, I'm at a point in my career, where I have to be with the right machine -- who knows what they are doing.
