Any muthaphukka that made this list, it's because I have tons of respect for, and this is how I would rank them.
1  2Pac - sorry, but when he was alive, people still put him here, and nothings changed. The arua around him was of greatness
2  Rakim - Best lyricist ever.
3  Ice Cube
4  Nas
5  Notorious B.I.G.
6  Eminem - yeah, D-12 was a group album, his solo shit is tight
7  Guru of Gangstarr
8  KRS-One
9  M.C. Ren
10 Grandmaster Flash - old school, but the Message was tight and was ahead of his time
11 Ghostface Killa - the true lyrist of the Wu
12 LL Cool J - hey, won enough battles not to hate one
13 Snoop Dogg
14 Dre of Outkast
15 Kurupt
16 Common
17 Jay Z
18 Trench of Naughty by Nature
19 Erick Sermon
20 Chuck D - not much for flow, but the words were powerful

1. 2Pac--greatest ever, bar none. His music will live FOREVER.
2. KRS--not one of my favs, but he is the teacher, so he must be on here.
3. GZA--The absolute best lyricist of the Wu
4. Nas--one of the best thug poets ever
5. Biggie--great, great storyteller
6. Redman--lyrics, lyrics, lyrics, and more lyrics
7. Guru--puts meaning into almost EVERY song, underrated as a lyiricst
8. Ice Cube--his early work opened many eyes for black America
9. Chuck D--same as Cube, but he did it in a group rather than as a solo
10. Bizzy Bone--He IS the realest MC since Pac......
